crazihippichicMemberWow! Great job everyone. I’ve been paying special attention to your La Gitanita performances, since that is the song I’m attempting to learn. So I’m watching the lesson video AGAIN, this morning….and got a chuckle when Andrew’s hat magically appears during the instruction for bar 6. LOL
Keep up the great work!

crazihippichicMemberGood for you, Vida. That’s a difficult song to play.

crazihippichicMemberJust listened to ‘Moon’. What a beautiful piece of music. Way too far over this beginner’s head, though. I think the length would do me in, if nothing else. I’d never remember all of that. But how awesome that we all have another prize to win. That’s sure to get everyone practicing even harder. 😍

crazihippichicMemberI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
Here is my entry in this month’s challenge, The Walking Dead Theme. This piece was quite the challenge for this newbie. 😜 There are quite a few mistakes but I want to get this posted before the month ends.
crazihippichicMemberCongrats on your progress….and that lovely new uke. I’m so jealous! I’m a sucker for all that sparkly abalone trim. 😍

crazihippichicMemberQuestion #1. Is it best to stick to a particular size of ukulele? For example, I found that when I had multiple sizes, I had trouble switching between them. So I now stick with Concert size. I am wondering if that is normal?
Question #2. What is your funniest story, having to do with building ukuleles?

crazihippichicMember@cncamacho, It looks like you and I are at about the same place, as beginners. I was having a heck of a time with This Walking Dead Theme. Each time I would sit down to practice I would have to watch the instructional video, start to finish. I wasn’t making much headway. There is so much going on, for me. Moving around on the fretboard and then the 3 different picking patterns. I wound up making a “cheat sheet” and wrote in the picking patterns. Another thing that was throwing me was the chords, so I added those to the cheat sheet and used a circle to show which finger was moving up and down on the string. Now it all makes sense to my brain.

crazihippichicMemberYay! My first feedback. 😊
I promise to not wait until the last day to work on ‘The Walking Dead Theme’.
Congratulations to nggnmm! That’s a nice ukulele. 😍
crazihippichicMemberWelcome, Amber. 😊
crazihippichicMember@Andrew, Oh I don’t expect the rules to be bent. Not at all. I did submit.
crazihippichicMember@cinichol, I was the same way. Too shy to try. I finally decided to go for the September challenge on the last day….and missed the deadline BY 2 MINUTES. uGH! But now I am totally hooked and looking forward to the October challenge. Don’t worry that you’re a newbie. Many of us are. Everyone had to start somewhere. And, as far as being shy in front of a camera….I just don’t record my face. LOL

crazihippichicMemberI apologize to everyone’s ears but I really wanted to jump in and participate. I made that decision this afternoon at 1pm and had to hurry up and learn the ETUDE 13 before the deadline (which I still missed by 2 minutes). Andrew, I am sorry for making such a mess of your beautiful music. There’s no where to go but up….right? LOL But, hey….I could “almost” do those pull offs. 😮
