ed_sandersonParticipantHi Taimane,
Thank you so much for your beautiful music!
Most music I find for the ukulele, whether it’s classical, pop or folk, is about a minute long at best. How do you stretch it out for a performance?
ed_sandersonParticipantFor me it’s a toss up between Jake, Taimani and James Hill. I’m going with James Hill because he’s Canadian, and because he does things with just a ukulele that everyone else needs a band or a looper pedal for.

ed_sandersonParticipantHere is my Aura Lee. It was nice to have a beginner’s song to work on, except that I was less dedicated to practicing it.

ed_sandersonParticipantThanks, Andrew. It’s not a bad cut, but it sure interferes with playing.
And thanks for these challenges. Nothing like appealing to my competitive spirit to get me practicing.

ed_sandersonParticipantI’m glad I recorded this, last week. I’ve come a ways since then, but I cut my right index finger, today 🙁

ed_sandersonParticipantThe fingers on both hands have trouble with speed and accuracy. I probably don’t practice enough, but how long does it take, generally, to get decent at it?

ed_sandersonParticipantHere is Fur Elise at half speed. I had hoped to get the tempo up and the mistakes down, but this is where I am at.
ed_sandersonParticipantThanks so much Andrew. I thought I was holding them down, but as I slow it down I find it’s sounding better. Just a bit tricky getting from the seventh to the second fret without losing the ring. I’ll keep working on it.
I’ve also been playing around with doing that whole section on the 1st, 2nd and 4th strings. It seems to work, though it has its own set of problems.

ed_sandersonParticipantWish I were. I’m up in Powell River. Don’t get to the city often enough to make it worth while.
ed_sandersonParticipantThanks, Andrew. I’ll keep working on it.
