Here’s my go at Dream a Little Dream. I’m still waiting for the index-finger barre callus to develop, so it seems like a lot of my strings are plunking, not ringing. Also, it doesn’t help when I’ve played through the piece so many times that my fingers get tired, lol – I’ll start adding more barre practice to my warm-up routine, and maybe one day . . . Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone with these monthly challenges, and for your kind comments and gentle suggestions. So glad I discovered rockclass101!

. . . and posting my first entry in a challenge. Thanks, Andrew, for making one of the choices suitable for beginners. I made a couple of fingering changes where a passage just sounded goofy with the low G, and of course there are a couple of wobbles, but I made it through the piece. Looking forward to the new challenges, but I’ll continue going back to this one until I can do it at 100%.

Yes, I’m starting to see why having two ukes just might be the answer. That dilemma will be solved if my name is picked in one of these challenge draws!

What beautiful playing, Kanique! I have only just started with the ukulele, and I can only hope to play as well as that after a year. Music is healing, and I hope your playing is healing for you. We learn to appreciate the beauty of every moment.
