Here is my version of the Beauty and the Beast solo. It was certainly the highest challenge yet for me but one that I am proud to say I took on fully! Excuse the lack of ringing on the super high notes given that my uke is the regular soprano size.

I am learning ‘Take Five’ and I have a soprano uke with the shortest neck.
I was wondering if it would be possible, rather than play Melody B completely up top which is almost outside the neck, to play the scale down on the equivalent notes? it sounds really strangled otherwise.Thanks!

marianneParticipantThanks for the feedback @Andrew! I agree that slower is nicer. Initially I was playing it slower but upon recording it about a 100 times because I would make errors everytime, I found myself speeding up unconsciously. Perhaps in my mind I thought that by speeding up I would more likely avoid an error? 🙂
