ParticipantThank you so much Andrew for the feedback! I also noticed these noises when I played back my recording – it’s like unwanted pull-off 😂 but wasn’t sure how to fix them without messing up the tempo or sustain. Your suggestions are exactly what I need. Will try and practice them!

ParticipantI came to know rockclass101 from the Game of Thrones Theme cover, but it was too hard for me to learn back then. I learned hammer-on and pull-off later on, but still found Game of Thrones quite challenging. This Morning Dew came right in time for me to practice these skills! And good opportunity to get back to low-G!

ParticipantThank you Stephen for the feedback! Right, I was a bit rushed around 0:30 because I was so nervous about that stretch chord and transition next 😂 I also do feel that I didn’t quite play as laid-back as I’d like this song to have. Will keep working on it. (Btw, I was casually playing this on a low G today, and other than a few notes, it actually sounded pretty well.)

Participant@lisadmh The song sounds more summertime with the ambient talking and laughing! Great work!

ParticipantSummertime! Love the laid-back feel of this song. Some stretching shapes are still hard and no resgueado yet like Steven’s performance, because every time I tried to add it, I forget what’s next to play… But anyways, fun to learn and thanks for the arrangement!

ParticipantThank you Andrew! Very helpful! Guess I’ll have to learn more to have more answers (and probably more questions too) 😀

ParticipantThanks for the feedback Andrew! This is indeed one of the songs I had a little trouble remembering, even if it has only 2 pages of tabs…

ParticipantThank you @bomarkt ! I was also at 30%-50% speed for a loooong time, and I at best can reach around 70% now.

Here’s my take on Rock Around the Clock. Very happy song to learn! A few rhythms off, and it’s harder than I originally expected from the tab (yeah I later noticed it’s level 3…) And somehow my left hand get tired more quickly when practicing this song, probably due to the bar chords.

ParticipantThanks Andrew for the feedback, but I don’t think I’ve played to bar 15 / 16 (either in Evan’s tab version or your tab version). So I’m a bit confused which bar you are referring to…

Thanks Andrew! So I kept practicing and learning the rest of the Jump Intro section. It still didn’t sound fully right like the original song to me somehow (while both Evans and Andrew’s playing sounded right like the original song), but it’s closer than before…
(I feel it’s partly due to my current slow speed, as if I play the video at 1.5x speed, it does sound more like the song to me; and partly due to those open G string filler notes being a bit too loud or those staccato notes not loud enough…)

hi Andrew another question: I wanted to learn the iconic opening of Jump, even if I don’t plan to learn the entire song at the moment. But as I played the first two bars it just doesn’t sound right. I cannot tell if it’s the rhythm or staccato or speed or something else. Can you help take a look? Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Andrew for the feedback! Yea, I noticed that too, but just couldn’t help looking at the left hand even if I know I’ve the muscle memory at least on the lower frets… Maybe need to try playing in the dark 😛

ParticipantThanks Andrew for checking.
Here’s my take for Come As You Are. Messed up a few places but it’s a good practice for chunk, rhythm, and counting 😉 – I had a few takes forgetting how many repeats I’ve done already… Also agree with others that the new Dm is hard…
