ParticipantAlways with me – Spirited Away
American Pie – Don McLean (most arrangements I can find online are just strumming and sing-along, but I cannot sing, so would love to see a finger style version)
Vincent – Don McLean
And +1 to some of the suggestions from @The_Bumble_Bard above. Would love to see some musical songs.
Thanks!

ParticipantAura Lee:
I like Crazy too, but I cannot sing, with or without ukulele. In fact, it’s one of the reasons I found this site, while a lot of other online uke tutorials were for sing-along…

ParticipantThank you Andrew for the feedback! I did notice this problem, but it’s a bit challenging to apply enough force esp. at lower frets…

Here’s my take of “March of the Toreadors”. I watched the opera Carmen earlier this year, so I was so excited to learn this song from it. Thanks for the arrangements and teaching! I can only play at ~80% speed so far, and this is the take with least mistakes…

ParticipantNOT AN ENTRY (because I already had a submission earlier)
After learning “Yesterday”, I can’t help attempting “Let it be” too as it’s so beautiful. And it’s my first Level 4 song!

Love this song! I need to practice some chord transitions and make the tones clearer. I think my playing was better at slower tempo, but I still want to record it at this tempo to make it sound more like the original song 😄

Here’s my take on Minuet in G played along with the backing track. Thanks for the arrangements of these classical pieces.

ParticipantI skipped Jan/Feb challenges because I already learned some songs from those candidates last year so they’re no more a proper challenge, and the rest is too much challenge for me or not my like… Finally this month! I learned Jurassic Park last year too, but I also like God Father and feel can tackle it! ❤️ Beautiful song and awesome arrangement! Thank you!
Well, I didn’t have enough practice on some of the tricky transitions yet…

ParticipantI was learning the other songs this month (those movie scores by John Williams 😄) and didn’t have much time for the challenges, so picked an easy one – Green Tea (and not practicing enough…)
Well, it’s actually a bit difficult than I expected, because it’s my first time playing with the backing track. I had to keep a steady pace that matches the backing track tempo, which somehow is even harder to me than with a metronome, esp. during the rhythm gap section. Finally I think I got this almost right – at least I think I playef last note at the right beat instead of 1-2 bars two early…
