I didn’t have as much time to practice in the second half of month as compared to the first half, but here’s my take on If I only had a brain. Such a joyful song!
The body was printed as a whole. The neck could be printed as one part, but my printer is not large enough, so I printed as 2 pieces and glued them together. The neck then is slotted into the body and glued. The tuning pegs are metal not printed but I swapped the pegs part to match color.
I recorded this take on Spanish Romance last weekend. I felt it was a bit rushed and I made a couple of mistakes, but I didn’t have much time practicing to improve more this week, so I’ll just use this one for the submission 🙂
And this is my first time using a piezo pickup taped on the ukulele to record it directly from line input and merging it to video, in order to cut out some loud noise in the background 😛 The video and audio are from the same take, and hopefully I’ve synced the them well enough…

Thank you Andrew for the feedback! I did actually use a metronome when I practiced earlier, but I guess I was nervous during recording and unconsciously sped up some parts.

Here’s my recording of Deck the Halls. There was a mistake in bar 14 (the pinky moved to E string a bit too early) and I slightly panicked for a bar or two, but I managed to not drop there 🙂

Finally learned St. Anne’s Reel too. Still a few notes not ringing well – I think it’s my left hand transition and my right hand pluck/strum not in sync and need more practice – but that’s my best take so far.
