rebecaParticipant@leb397: That was excelent and very creative. Lovely voice. I also Love the lyrics and the triplet strum Pattern, really well executed!
@swissconsinboy; What a charming and optimistic melody. Love it!July 22, 2024 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Participate in the July 2024 Member Challenge – Original Music! #62481
rebecaParticipant@leb397: Thank you so much! Everyone here is waiting for your submission. Me too! 🙂
@The_Bumble_Bard: Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I like your “soft” clawhammer. That technique fits really well with your beautiful composition. I remerber it easily and I can imagine myself whistling the melody while walking through beautiful landscapes. That’s the bucolic image that comes to my mind. 🙂July 21, 2024 at 2:09 pm in reply to: Participate in the July 2024 Member Challenge – Original Music! #62469
rebecaParticipant@gi_gi_: Thank you. So happy you like it! You’re always very kind 🙂
@misterbones: What an enjoyable tune! No clichés. Good hooks which work really well because your compositión sounds very catchy.
@The_bumble_bard:Thank you so much! I also enjoy a lot your entries and especially when you share your process.
In my case it’s very simple. I think I’m influenced by the latest music or conpositions I listen to, the mood, the latest techniques I practise… I try different things until I find something that make sense for me.-

rebecaParticipantHello my ukulele friends!
It’s been a while since the last time I took part in a challenge.Little time for uke!
Now I’m on holiday and happy to be back again.I’ve called this tune: “Gotas en el cristal” (raindrops on the glass)
It’s been a rainy weather here and that’s what inspired this,
Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.Btw, I’m amazed by everyone’s submissions
Enjoy the weekend!

rebecaParticipant@Andrew – Thank you for the feedback!
Rubato came out naturally and also made it easier for me to play the tune.
I would’ve had to put much more effort trying to mantain a steady tempo, which I also love.
rebecaParticipantRest is an important part of a good practise. Muscle memory really Works. You’ll remember previos practise. No problem.

rebecaParticipantHi everyone!
It’s been two months out of uke because of an injured finger and I’m super happy of being here again taking part of this month’s challenge.
I’had no doubt that “Spanish Guitar / Ukulele was going to be the first tune I was going to learn after the recovery period.November 20, 2023 at 11:47 pm in reply to: Participate in the November 2023 Member Challenge – WIN $935 Kanile’a #59474
rebecaParticipant@misterbones:Wow! That blew my mind! It sounds clean and smooth and you look so calm while playing that make it look easy.

rebecaParticipant@Mikakanemusic: Thank you!! I really appreciate your feedback and I’m excited for watching new lessons from you!.
I rarely choose the challenge of the month based on the difficulty of the arrangement.
I usually choose the tune i like the most. I was absolutely captivated by this one though I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy task.
Thank you for your useful tips I’ll thake it all into account. I’ll take it up slowing down as soon as I can.
unfortunately not only I’m a bit busy this month bot I also injured the Middle finger of my left hand and I am going to be out of uke at least until January
I Hope I won’t forget completely the arrangement until then 🙁
@Dianna: @The_Bumble_Bard: Thank you! You’ re so nice!
I admire how @The_ bumble_bard always go the extra mile with uke.
I’m enjoying each entry.
I’ll be here watching you all and testing my level of “ukeaholism” until I can take my uke again 🙂-

Here’s my attempt at “Merry go round of life”.
I know there’s still a lot of Work to do to clean it up, but unfortunately I’m not having enough spare time the rest of the month.
I’ll continue practising it as soon as I can because I love this tune.
rebecaParticipantWelcome Mika. I’m sure I’ll learn a lot with you. I’II try to go with your amazing arrangement this month. I absolutely love it!
