rickeymikeMemberMorrie and Raffy, Well done on that waltz. Makes me think I chose the wrong song but maybe there’s time to change. ha. It even sounds much more like a waltz unlike my version of Waltz in C last month.ha.

rickeymikeMemberWell done, Uk_on. I’m a total left hander and the uke is the only thing that I’ve attempted right-handed other than golf ( which I switched back to left handed in a hurry). Still playing right handed uke and am extremely comfortable with it. And, believe me, I resisted it from the beginning. Still, watching you play left handed makes me smile. Also, a bit envious.

rickeymikeMemberBeautiful, Lyndall!
rickeymikeMemberI’ve already had a couple of Skype lessons with Stephen. Do your preparation and let Stephen know what your expectations are before the session…… I also highly recommend Stephen’s one on one lessons.
rickeymikeMemberKirpuff et al, go to my August post in Showcase your playing where I posted my arrangement of Romeo & Juliet Love Theme and you can see the attachment that I created from Guitar Pro.
rickeymikeMemberKirpuff, save it as a PDF file then attach to your post. You can also use your snipping tool to save it as a picture file. In Guitar Pro – go to File, and click on ‘Export’ you can then save it as a PDF file or a pic file.

rickeymikeMemberIf I had a banjole, I would learn “Waiting For The Robert E. Lee” then….retire. Haha.
rickeymikeMemberLisa & Becky – I’m with you guys.
If I don’t enjoy the songs available in a monthly challenge, I won’t do it but that’s fairly rare (except for this month LOL)
I’m getting into songs that I do like and arranging them myself. I love playing melodies.
I too forget how to play a song soon after I stop learning it….so,so frustrating. Really the most frustration thing other than driving a golf ball consistently well.
Nothing wrong with an easy to play song. I’m finding that many of the songs that I like have easy to play melodies.
In general this year I’m going to Play,Play,Play. Notice that I didn’t say the dreaded word “practice”.
rickeymikeMemberAndrew, Yes. I would definitely be interested. Even if it was a step by step ‘how to’ arrangement of Aura Lee.
rickeymikeMemberLove it, kirpuff! You arranged that very well. Love the harmonies that you added. I had to turn the volume up to 100%. Don’t know if that’s my computer or the volume that you recorded but I sure would like to hear it again with the volume “pumped up”.
