Anne, you don’t have to do the kazoo. you can substitute the fingering part that was taught in lesson 2.
Ok, I think you cleared it up. But hear is my video to you which I was making before your last comment.So what you’re saying is the first hit of the triplet strum is also used to sing “me”. Correct?
not a feedback issue. I’m just trying to find a note to go with the word “me” as in, starting with the last part of measure 7 and going through measure 8…..mute strum, mute strum, you be – lo – ng to me.
As written, I can’t get the word “me” in before I start the G triplet strum in measure 9.
Drew- Thanks a lot for the advice. I will definitely use that practice technique for this month which I started today and have just been looping the first 2 bars and getting that triple strum feel in my head.
Drew, I bet you a million that you KNOW what I’m going to learn. Like I said on your Facebook post yesterday, it’s like opening a much anticipated Christmas present.
BTW, Did Katie swallow that mouth kazoo or did she take it out after the video ended? I wanted to see what a mouth kazoo was.

Cornish,kanae,tiff,and I’m sure others: We all knew and memorized ’64. Yes, that was a fact. But to play it without hesitation was near impossible. I’m trying to think of the word that describes that phenomenon.
Lyndal: Check the poster. That concert was the night of my 12th birthday. I asked my dad if I could go for my birthday present. He said no way, that I might get trampled by a riot…you can imagine the quarrel that followed but,of course, I didn’t get to go. My next door neighbor’s father was a military policeman that was doing a security detail for the concert. At his daughter’s request, he brought home a chunk of grass from around the stage and she shared a piece with me.
So now that you know my age, I had no right to sing about getting to 64, thus the added ending ha.kanae, yes I usually just do a few takes and I’m done but for some reason ’64 was a monster to remember. I thought I had gotten it many times only to fumble through while attempting the complete song. It’s kind of a mystery to me as to why this happened with this song. After every bad take, I would say “But @*&, I know this!” Oh well, let’s look to June.
LOL, robin. And that was take 18. I was determined, hell or high water to get through it and do it again afresh the next day…… takes 19 through 23 were disasters. ha.
