AndrewKeymaster@henri0 – Great performance! The only thing I’d suggest is to use the same strumming motion you did for 26 seconds to 30 for the rest of the tune. Will give it a more natural strum sound then a flick of the index finger.
@mikeramsey2 – Beautiful performance and great job on nailing the playful feel and dynamic change for the last part 🙂
@turkgoose – Melody, technique 1, 2 and 4 sound great! But watch your tempo, try to keep it a bit more steady. For the sweep strum, I want to hear more of the rasgueado burst. So that’s where I would focus your practice at. Overall, well done! Keep up the great work!
AndrewKeymasterHi @pluribus,
We launched baritone lessons last year: https://rockclass101.com/songcategories/?_sft_post_tag=baritone
Robin’s steps were correct for accessing those lessons. You can manually access them by clicking “Ukulele Songs” in the main menu, then selecting “Baritone” in the filter on the right hand side of the site:

There’s 8 lessons up right now with a new one coming out Feb 18.
At the moment, all we’re planning to do with baritone is stand-alone lessons on songs. If you’re looking for courses or general playing lessons, you’ll want to grab a high or low G uke as we have hundreds of lessons for those tunings.
P.S. Did you know that you can play any low G arrangement on baritone? Although you will be playing in a different key.
You can use the same sorting method detailed above to find all of our low G content 🙂
AndrewKeymaster@evapaju – Matt says: Doesn’t matter if it’s open hand or close hand technique, just try to be able to do both and select what is more natural for the situation.
AndrewKeymaster@evapaju – Let me ask Matt and get back to you on this.
@sarahmusic – I agree, it would be very helpful! I just submitted the idea as a feature request to the course developer 🙂February 3, 2022 at 5:57 pm in reply to: Participate in the January 2022 Member Challenge: Celebrating 500 Lessons! #50741

AndrewKeymaster@shmu88 – Excellent job on getting the 4 techniques down and the melody! Well done 👏
@johanna2509 – Well played overall! With the ghost note, it sounds a little staccato-y at times. I think your right hand might be touching the G string in-between strums. Try to stay above the strings during the entire up/down motion so that each hit (strum or G) sustains without interruption.February 1, 2022 at 3:06 pm in reply to: Participate in the February 2022 Member Challenge – Theme: Strumming Songs! #50683
AndrewKeymasterLow G is too pronounced in its volume and pitch to create the proper depth characteristic that high G gives.

AndrewKeymaster@gi_gi_ – I’d recommend high G so you can take advantage of the ghost note strumming technique 🙂

AndrewKeymasterFriendly Reminder – The deadline for receiving feedback and an entry into the giveaway is tonight at 11:59 PM EST (check your local time zone).
AndrewKeymasterHi Nicolas, as far as finding the new Friday lessons, on the right hand of the screen (sidebar), you’ll see “Recent Lessons”, which will list the five newest lessons that I’ve posted. It looks like this:

FYI: It only shows up on the sidebar for lesson pages, not search pages like: “Ukulele Songs” or “Courses“.

AndrewKeymaster@mkstewart67 – looks like your video is private. Could you set it to public?
AndrewKeymaster@bonnns – Could you post a video playing hammer-ons? I’m happy to take a look and make sure your technique looks good 🙂
AndrewKeymasterMy pleasure! Glad it was helpful 🙂
AndrewKeymasterHi Trace! Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear you are enjoying the lessons 🙂
You can play those exercises out of position 1. It would actually be a good workout for the pinky finger. But it def is easier to use index and ring than middle and pinky, hence position 2.
Here’s my thoughts on playing in different positions:
