Many many thanks to Andrew for the lesson and click track and @coffeemug for the encouragement. This may not get me into Andrew’s band, but it was really fun to learn this fantastic piece. And ye’ olde telecaster looks good on the video 😉
This isn’t an official entry, it’s a cry for help!
Andrew, I can’t tell you how much I like the 50s Rock and Blues lesson. The music is fantastic, your solo is amazing, and it gave me a reason to pull out my telecaster! However…I am having a terrible time playing along with the bass backing track. For some reason, I just can’t ‘hear’ the chord changes the same way I can with your solo or with a typical rhythm guitar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I’m a Premium Member who really can’t believe I’m playing classical music on the uke! Many thanks for this fun lesson. A few brain farts but I loved learning this piece.

Many congratulations on 500 lessons! I gave St. James Infirmary a go when it first came out … nearly landed me in an infirmary. Shows what a couple of years and some great instruction can do for a gal. Thanks, Andrew!

I had another version of My Favorite Things from Christoper’s Patreon page that I was working on. It occurred to me that it was similar in some respects to another ‘favorite’ song so I figured out a chord melody and smushed the two together.

Here’s my version of the Travis Picking Etude…played on my prize-winning Islander uke. And, I can attest to the charms of this month’s prize; the Ohana sopranissimo behind me is a blast to play and people get a huge kick out of this tiny instrument. (Andrew, please take me out of the running for this month’s contest…increase the odds for someone else to win this fun little uke)
