    thanks guys!

    @cauer2
    – that uke is my baby. Lol, I love it so. But I love the gloss your uke has, I’m looking for a gloss finish in my next ukulele. Apart from watching and enjoying everyone’s performances, I like to see what your all ukuleles look like and how they sound.

    Thanks @Andrew for the comments, and yes, it was tricky playing in the dark and wearing that mask, as if those chord changes weren’t tricky enough for me. And @surfnrz glad you liked it!

    So glad I’m not the only one who waited until the last day to submit my video. It’s not perfect, but hey, I’m only human… or am I? Lol. ~ HOLLY

    Ok, so yes, I already submitted the rhythm piece officially, but I’ve been working so hard to get Five Foot Two posted as well. This was a real stretch for me, literally! My pinky barely reaches even on this old Harmony Ukulele. But with a LOT of practice I think it doesn’t sound too bad. So here it is, just a little extra song from me… (oh and excuse the poor excuse for a strap, ha, I was crocheting one, but never get back to it. How horrible would it be if I drilled a strap button on the bottom of this 1950’s ukulele?)

    Ha, this video shows me that A.) I need a haircut, and B.) I need to rake the crunchy leaves off my deck that the dog was trying to crunch as I played.

    @marni11 that’s great! Glad to know there’s another like it still out there.

    I’ve been giving it a good workout w 5f2eob. It’s a little twangy and buzzy at times, probably my own fault in playing however the plastic fret board is actually notched on some of the frets where the string pressure has been applied over the years. But it sounds cute w the song. It’s still a good stretch that I can barely reach at measure 21 but hoping I can make the rest of the song sound ok. I’m enjoying playing it at the very least. Yay! : )

    Great job Brett! Loved it all! The playing and the production. It’s all I can do to just sit still and play all the way through it, Ha.

    @becky7777 you are right, i believe it may have cost around $15 back in the day, certainly not a toy’s price. I did a Google search today and was surprised to find it mentioned w other Harmony ukes. It was fun to learn more about where it came from.

    Thx Andrew for the comments! Yes I certainly do love uke, it’s all I want to do in my free time, and I love this rhythm too. The actual rhythm flows for me pretty effortlessly now, but all the while my ukulele is so loose, not held by my right arm at all, thank goodness for the strap!

    Ok here is my submission. Drum-like perc. I will say that hold my uke is especially tricky when my right hand is off of the surface with the movement required. And dont even get me started on my left hand… my pinky is up like it’s tea time. But without the added support from my right hand it becomes tricky to keep it all steady and proper. All that considered, I think it sounds ok. Hoping to do Five Foot Two later before month’s end. ~ Holly

    I am currently fixing up my Grandfather’s Ukulele, its a little toy soprano, its small and will hopefully have the spacing I need for those stretchy chords. And I hope it will have a good old-timey sound that this song will love. So far I’ve only glued it back together front and back, bought strings, and I’m looking at tuners now trying to find the right look. It’s a project indeed but the right size for this song I believe. Stay tuned…
