Steven, thanks very much for the positive feedback. When I tried Out in the North for the previous challenge I gave up on the triple pick version very quickly. I’m now looking forward to trying again. I was going to say ‘fingers crossed I can do better’ but crossing my fingers probably won’t help 🙂

I am really enjoying the new fingerpicking style. At first it was painfully slow but now it feels a bit more natural. Here is my best effort to date.

Hi everyone here is my attempt at 12th Street Rag. Its different to anything I’ve tried to play before with lots of new techniques. At the start of the month I didn’t think my hands wanted to co-operate with each other but they are slowly getting there.Andrew, thanks so much for the encouragement and the feedback. I will certainly work on my left hand as you suggest – I had no idea that my fingers were at the wrong angle but I now see what you mean. Thanks again.

Hi here is my attempt at People are Strange. Until I joined the site I hadn’t tried to learn songs well enough to be able to record them. I found I got to grips with the basics of this in a few days but then its taken hours and hours to be able to play and record a reasonable version. Perhaps with even more hours I could improve a bit – but I feel I need to submit it now and move on. There is a whole website to explore!Thanks so much for the feedback Andrew. Until a couple of weeks ago I was convinced I couldn’t master slides or pull offs or hammer-ons, so will definitely try that out more now.
