kayleighbMemberCan I just apologise in advance for next week please for absolutely killing this piece. My A string is buzzy on the stretch chord, I’m about 50% speed, can’t seem to memorise it, and it takes about 10 minutes to transition between chords 🙈 not even attempting the harmonic.

kayleighbMemberAfter missing another challenge last month I’m determined to get one submitted this month! I’m working on Allegro to build up speed and add a bit of dynamic into my playing. I probably won’t get to 100% speed yet but will do my best!

kayleighbMemberSo I totally failed this month with my practise schedule. Probably only picked up my uke twice. Work has been super busy, teamed with a few other things has really eaten my time. Well done everyone! I’ve loved watching all your videos 😊

kayleighbMemberI’m going to work on the lullaby medley alongside the lesson on vibrato to try and incorporate this into my playing.
Quick question Drew, what sort of pick would you recommend for uke? I will get round to down by the bay at some point. I’ve read all sorts online from normal guitar picks to felt picks?

kayleighbMemberI’m back!
It’s not perfect by any means, and not quite 100% speed but getting closer.
Melody C didn’t half give me some grief. Transitioning from the partial barre back to the G was super tricky for me for some reason!

kayleighbMemberBlimey Awesomestrings, you say you are a total beginner yet you managed that on both songs! Please tell me your secret! Great job!

kayleighbMemberAwesomestrings, I’m working on the fingerpicking & strumming song 🙂

kayleighbMemberLisa, I’m struggling with transitioning between the different melodies so focusing on that at the moment. Once I have that down I can work on speed 😊

kayleighbMemberI’m going back to basics and will do the fingerpicking and strumming song. Lost my mojo a bit so just dialling it right back. Currently working my way through the definitive beginners course to get my confidence back.
A question for you Andrew; I’m currently working on Romance from the beginners course and am at 60% speed. Would you work on really nailing it at 100% speed before moving on, or just keep coming back to it inbetween other things?
kayleighbMemberAs I was watching the video I was thinking it would be cool to have a list or ideas for warm ups as I tend to just go straight into my practise. Then you said the same thing at the end 😊 Look forward to those coming out. Kay

kayleighbMemberHow do you get back that motivation to play/learn when you are going through a bit of a slump? I losy my confidence a bit trying to learn Canon even though I knew it was beyond my limit. Since then I’ve found it hard to get back on it!

kayleighbMemberHi guys. Having to sit this months challenge out. Got some family stuff going on so haven’t picked my uke up for a couple weeks. Lost my mojo a bit but hopefully back up for next month. Really enjoying the videos that have been posted so far 😊

kayleighbMemberCan I please ask a stupid question? In Uke Blues, what strumming pattern do you use? I’m worse at strumming than finger style 😉 so not quite able to work it out and the tutorial is very brief!

kayleighbMemberIt was about take 4356! So a little frustrated. I think melody 3 in general had me frustrated which didn’t help. Will keep working on it through the coming months as I’m determined to get it!
