@gi_gi_ good information! Thank you.
@jbmills07 your entry was so pretty to listen to. Kitty loves you.❤Knocking this challenge out of the park. I think is was one of the more difficult and to see how well everyone did within a month! @gi_gi_ I’m sure I got you beat with the number of recordings. Three days I tried 😆. You did amazing. The washer woman entries we impressive. Super hard I think.
I love seeing what ukulele you play and how it sounds. I’m looking to upgrade one of these days so I’m always watching.
Happy Easter my Uke friends. 🎼❤️@grannieannie love your “name”. Welcome. We are a friendly bunch and at all different levels of play. Everyone is so encouraging especially Andrew. Glad you found us. Look forward to seeing and hearing your entries. Remember we were all beginners at one time Louisa (also a grandma) 😁
@marianne beautiful. Love the low g. And @suekulele very nice… I felt your joy at the end 😆
@andrew thank you and RC friends. ❤️
OK! Three days of trying to get a video… argh. Seems I say same thing every month.
I absolutely love this song. Red is the Rose or Loch Lomond others call it. Day one I thought no-way I’d get through it let alone, memorize it… never underestimate your abilities with PRACTICE. 😊
@Andrew I’m still missing some notes in there to smooth it out…Excellent entries. Great singing @Morrieuke1 and @dianna that is such a hard song, nice. Is that the new “dianna UKE”. @Clempek and @misterbones all so good. As are everyone’s entries. So impressed by RC101 talent.
I just want to make a quick mention that my Mom of 101 yrs passed this week and this has made me happy to be able to post something called Red is the Rose. She loved roses. 💖
@the_bumble_bard you are amazing. I love it and your ability to humor us while completing this challenge. Nice singing. BTW I like your hair cut, pretty. Well done!
PS. @deadbuggy beautiful as always.
@lhamilton love it when you whistle. What a perfect song for the 👏.
@shmu88. Very nice and impressive you hit those notes not looking. 👍
@willw18 lovely.
@brettboy great musical journey. You are a natural and you YouTube posts equally enjoyable. You make it look easy but fun to watch too. All the Irish posts are amazing.
@TBB look forward to what you have planned.
I’m still working through Red is the Rose… only positive is I can actually play through it and 16 days ago I wouldn’t have bet a dime I’d get that far 😳🤣@brettboy setting the bar high….. 😁👍👏
Hello RC101 back from the palm trees and warm breezes to the gray N.E. cool temps. I am able to respond to a few February entries and thank you @Andrew for the encouraging words. I’m still practicing YESTERDAY because it’s one of my FAVS.
Congrats @johanna2509 winning the challenge and hearing about your uke choice. I was looking at the Ohana Tenor on Uke Rep. site today. (your second choice). I’m not ready for pick-ups yet.
@The_bumble_bard wow you really did nail the classical piece and the harmonics at the end – you always express what we all feel. Love it. I saw an internet post where someone went shopping and stuck “googly” eyes on various packages. Sure made others smile when they spotted them 🙂
@dianna and @nat-uke loved your cripple creek. Looks so fun to play. I’m going to try.
@Firebladetim and @morrieuke1 just loved Malaguena; @misterbones, your Spanish piece was amazing.
@gi_gi_ lovely. Hope to hear you sing again in one of the challenges. Maybe Danny Boy?
@janaq1 The Entertainer was incredible! I remember learning that on piano (many moons ago) and just wow on a UKE.
Impress with over 50 entries and everyone worked so hard. As TBB mentioned, it takes more than a month to memorize and get something to record/submit. Not easy. Now time to buckle down and start with the March Challenge!!! Louisa
P.S. Never mean to leave anyone out – everyone was amazing.@the_bumble_bard thank you. I wasn’t happy with recording but I love the song and will play it often.
Isn’t moving stressful. We did a big one 3 years ago during covid and very hot summer. Didn’t play uke for almost a year then started entering challenges.
Good luck. Hope you can get in an entry.
And yes, @marianne was amazing and just smiled through @muzikmama fun rendition. I think it should count as an entry!
Ps, it’s been on cooler side in FL but better than snow 🤔😳😁I chose YESTERDAY by the Beatles. tried learning this couple years ago and was way above my ability. I still have a lot to improve but on vacation and time is limited. I unfortunately only brought my high G. I know it would sound better with the low G. This gave my fingers a workout with some crazy shape cords.
Fun challenge to be able to pick our own lesson. Thanks @Andrew
@surferjay you have be missed. You were a main contributor few years back when I joined and looked forward to your entries. As @gi_gi_ said you never know what is taking place in our personal lives. @TBB said too, prayers to you and your loved ones and country. 🙏🫶
So many great entries so far and the variety is fun to see. I just listened to @turkgoose and it was so good I started to drift off and then realized that You are the accompaniment! Such clean notes. 👏👏👏 kudos to all.
