@nat-uke I’m so glad you played Wildwood Flower. I had mentioned it in a post earlier, such a great clawhammer song. Nicely played on both instruments.

Here is my “ML019 Beautiful Cord Progression” I chose this because of the complicated “chucking” involved and my challenge was to improve my technique. It’s still a struggle but I know I’ve gotten “better”.
I spent the month working on the lagato, timing, and the chuck – Always room for lots of improvement. Getting the cord or strings not to “thud”/Mute in the high frets – argh!
Really loved seeing the progress others posted. Made me feel better in my own journey seeing everyone has to start in order to improve. Thanks Andrew and Stephen. LouisaSo many excellent entries but a few really stuck out

@lhamilton – lovely@andrew really liked your “chuck” demo on the two styles. I know slap method wont work on ML 019 but hearing both with a count helped clarify the styles. Thanks for demo Louisa

@mark1256 I agree with you on Sawlon piece. You have the right idea to compose your own piece from the selections you have found. Love hearing it on original violin. Good luck

@mysticrick welcome! Rick has a great community of players in his uke group! I started attending last year and kinda “fell” into the group 😆. Literally…. Down a step but saved my Uke. Rick is a great leader. Look forward to your entries. Louisa
Hi everyone! A new year with a great challenge
I will be working on ML019 cord progression.
I will practice everyday, as I have while being a member.
Plan is to execute the rhythmic chucks, still my weak area, and hopefully get to speed.
I’ll post my final entry .
Excited to see everyone, especially claw hammer. That would be my next challenge. Louisa
