This was a fun piece and gave me a chance to practice pull offs and hammer ons. I find both very challenging to do consistently.

Getting a little better with the barre chords? I worked on Fields of Green because I enjoy the song and it offered me the opportunity to practice those barre chords. Thank you Andrew!

For July, I worked on the “Drunken Sailor” I am having a hard time with pull-offs and will be practicing.

I choose the Feel Good Rhythm Riff this month. It is fun to play and does make me feel good. I struggle with the chuck though. The piece loses its charm when I add it. The video instruction is excellent as always, I just have not been able to convince my hands to follow the instructions.

Thank you Andrew. Your feedback is much appreciated. I still am not comfortable with chucking. These challenges are a lot of fun! They get us out of our comfort zone.

Wow, this was a hard one! Not perfected, but much better Than I could have done a year ago and not as good as I will be able to do next year.

Etude number 1 on the Ohana “mini”
Lesson learned, this beautiful instrument was a challenge for me to play. I am having difficulty tuning it and keeping it in tune. I usually play a concert size.
Thankful for the opportunity and hope to get better.

This month’s challenge was fun. My mother was a ballerina and I remember her dancing to this music. So of course I had to play Swan Lake!

I had fun with all of the mini lessons. This was a nice change of pace. While my pace is slow, it is the best I can do accurately. I do know I need to keep working on this and will. The good news is that I am finding it easier to memorize the pieces. With practice, I will eventually be able to play at better than 70%. Thank you for your comments Andrew. I have been practicing the pull on from last month.

This month my goal was to play the piece at 75% AND with a backing track. Whew!!! I find it funny and frustrating how stressed I become when trying to video myself. This was a really fun piece and I will continue to work on it.
