I think playing each one a couple of times as warm up would help? But the list adds up and it’s hard to play them all and still work on new songs.

Andrew, how do you keep your old songs fresh? Any tips for us!

Harold, I love the energy and the drums in that. So fun to watch!

I went back to work after Andrew’s advice and I think I’ve improved a bit. Still can’t get that last lick clean though.

A few days short of my one year ukiversary, here’s another stab at Uke Blues.

I am not as good at this as my list suggests. I do tend to jump aroundand forget whay I’ve learned. It’s a risk. I should remember to play all of my top songs once every day or two to keep them alive. I do have a few I work to keep fresh.

Actually, that would be a cool challenge. Play a set list of any five rockclass songs cleanly.

I love it, Brett! Boogie on. I aspire to where you’re at.

A couple months ago you told me I was swinging too much on another song and now I’m not swinging enough. There’s just no pleasing some people! 🙂

Thank you Andrew. I’m listening back to my take and I can hear everything you’re saying. I can follow the rhythm on the tab play along (except the final lick) but I slip without it. I’ll keep working on it! Great feedback.

I had a head start on this as I’ve been poking away at it for a while. Gawsh I love playing the blues on this little guy. More blues please Andrew ☺

The good news is this is the first time I haven’t cheated on any of the hammer ons and pull offs. The bad news is that some are rather faint. That last lick almost gave me blisters as I looped it during the super bowl.

Constructive feedback is more than welcone!

I think I need me some Green Tea now.

Hmmm. How do I do that… is it the same thing as a chuck?

Are y’all doing uke blues with the strums in the video lesson or the slaps in the tabs? They seem different, or am I missing something? I’m trying the slaps but it’s tricky.

Good job folks! I love to hear the variety this time around, and clearly lots of practicing had gone into it all.

Rickey, that little riff at the end of that song is my favorite thing ever. ☺

I love love love the blues! I’ve been poking away at uke blues for like six months and can’t get the outro. In general the song is getting worse rather than better as I jump around at other songs, learn new skills that interfere with bad habits I was using on that song before, etc. It has been a bugbear for me. This will force me to clean it up. I also love the shuffle one though and would love to do that. Oh, what to do… 🙂

Fun prize too. Too cute. I really want to get my boyfriend backing me up on the shaker.

    Kayleigh, good job!

We have to cut ourselves some slack when tackling hard ones. It happened to me too this month, but that’s what happens when Andrew gives us free reign to choose. ☺

The parts you got done sound lovely indeed.

Your cats don’t appreciate the transcendental beauty of the mighty uke. One of mine is more sophisticated. My playing is my personal ode to her grooming regime. My other cat, not so insightful. Lol. 🐱🐱

Lol. Thanks Tony. Kali actually likes listening to me play. She climbs up on the bed and we do the campfire thing all the time, me and her.
