rickeymikeMemberCheryl, nice playing. Your choice is above my ability . Now why didn’t you heed your own advice and tilt that camera to only show the uke? Andrew has already caught me once reading while playing. LOL
Kanae and Becky: Here’s what I did that helped me memorize what strings to strum on the chords. Play it like you would sing it. Sing it by itself and notice when you hit a high note or a low note. So for the high note, strum through the A string. For the low note, end your strum after the E string.
rickeymikeMemberWhoops. Johnny, just found out there are two songs with that title. The one that I am referring to is from the 1965 movie “Father Goose”. Here’s Peggy Lee’s version:
rickeymikeMemberWelcome, Johnny. And I’ve got the perfect song for you to learn. It’s called “Pass Me By” The lyrics suit your lifestyle to a tee. And once you learn it, teach it to me. haha.

rickeymikeMemberFabulous, just fab, Brett. What fun. AND your video started with an all time favorite of mine, way before I started “playing” Here’s a video from my personal playlist. Isn’t that a ukulele the musician is playing during the interlude?

rickeymikeMemberVery pretty, Leah and Ms Fink!
rickeymikeMemberWhen the boss says “ignore” just ignore, no questions asked. Haha, and me, thinking that only the musically educated would understand. Too funny.

rickeymikeMemberI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
Well gang, again, this was the first take. I practiced this piece over 50 times this month and I thought I had it down and to my ears, I did. Then I watched this video. Those abrupt stops (staccato?) after the strum that I thought would be so cool by imitating a Flamenco dancer’s 1-2-3 stomp just sounded way too loud. And believe me I didn’t realize that I picked the entire song with my index finger. Also a few short memory blanks causing pauses where there shouldn’t have been.
rickeymikeMemberNot I. Didn’t even know such existed. I’m still on my first and only uke. I’m waiting for Andrew to officially graduate me to another uke. I have patience. ha.
rickeymikeMemberA warm welcome to you, Matt. I’ve already posted a welcome on RockClass facebook page. I’ve watched a couple of your instructional songs on your youtube site. Very nice. And I especially like your retro “Sir Saint” T shirt. Wear it more often! ha.

rickeymikeMemberGreat, Stiny and I love your background. Reminds me of my trip to Scotland. Now I’m wanting to get back to Royal Troon Golf Club.
