ukandreaParticipantThanks for your feedback @Andrew and @robinboyd.
Relaxing sounds like a good approach! I guess I concentrated to much on trying to play in time with the metronome (what I normally don’t do, that was the goal I had personally set for myself for this month). The note connection is getting better already, but I won’t do another recording (as this would be counter-productive to relaxing 😉 )Happy fingerpicking,

ukandreaParticipantAndrew, thank you for your valuable video feedback.
I understand and hear what you want me to improve, especially for the bars 7 and 8.
I tried, but I just cannot figure out HOW to reach the better connection of the notes.
I had put already everything in I had learned for the sustain with the left hand and am not sure if the way to improve it lies more in the right hand picking attack like in the feedback you left for Linda?
Any additional hint is highly welcome.
Thank you,

ukandreaParticipantHi group,
after days of trying different approaches and tests to find the root cause for that annoying drifting problem (I spare you the details) I finally found the super easy fix solution in this short video – and it perfectly works. I tested it on a 15 minute video. Before the fix the video and audio file started drifting after around 1 minute slightly and really badly after 3 minutes. With that easy done fix it is in sync throughout the whole timeline.

ukandreaParticipantThank you Andrew.
I notice the problem already after around 1 minute, which is really annoying.
I tried all the above mentioned variations on the iPhone plus in the meantime tried to set everything I could find around Warp in Ableton to disabled. Still the problem is the same.
Unfortunately the technical support of Ableton is only available for full version, not for the version Ableton Live 10 Lite that came included with the purchase of the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen.
I am attaching my Ableton Warp settings, just in case anybody sees something is wrong.I do not really think that the problem lies in Ableton but in the iPhone video settings.
I will keep you posted when I find out the root cause.Andrea

ukandreaParticipantI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
Not happy at all with my Summertime performance, I run out of practise time this month. But I wanted to keep the promise to myself that I will submit Summertime as well.
My personal success experience of this month was that at a barbecue party a group of people wanted me to play “just something” and normally I am really not able to play in front of others. I chose my other submission “Wipe out” and was (surprisingly) totally relaxed. After the first view notes, they said “oh, that’s the cool song from Dirty Dancing – do you remember the scene?” and grooved to the sound. That really made me happy.
Looking very much forward to August’s fingerpicking challenge on my new Low G uke.

ukandreaParticipantThanks for the feedback, Annemarie and Andrew.
I have a new “problem” – of course no problem at all in relation to people in my country suffering from the disastrous flooding. I always had a “I want to win that beautiful Kanilea uke – but the quality of my Enya is really ok” feeling but since I have my ANueNue the Enya sounds like dead and very silent to me. I have not measured that but I estimate the ANueNue is 3 times louder and richer in sound and the sustain is incredible long.
So I have to first practice High G songs with the Enya and than Low G with with my ANueNue, the other way around it is a really dissatisfying experience.
And I understand more and more what Matt wanted to tell us in the Ukulele Acquisition Syndrom Live Session.
So I am looking forward to the next Low G challenge 😉
Have all a happy summertime strumming,

ukandreaParticipantHere comes my submission for Wipe Out:
I don’t get the percussive part so cool as Andrew but my personal success of the day is that I did for the first time just one according attempt and with no cutting.
I also plan to submit Summertime, but need to practice more.

ukandreaParticipantHi Steven and peers,
here is a short soundcheck of my new beauty:I finally went with the unwound Worth Clear Low G string, recommended and installed by Matt from World of Ukes.
Best,
Andrea
ukandreaParticipantHi Andrew,
I have a follow-up question on that as I also would need to tune the G string to an A for another song – so putting higher tension on it.
My question: DOES THAT DAMAGE MY STRINGS when tuning back an force between G and A?
I would need to do it on my brand-new expensive ANueNue Tenor AMM3 with an also quite expensive Low G Clear Water string – with the additional problem that the Water strings don’t seem to be buyable anywhere in the EU and with Brexit it got really expensive to order in UK since July 1st.I tuned the low G to A for just some minutes to try it out and it sounds really amazing, but I do not dare keep it tuned.
Thanks for any advice.

ukandreaParticipantHi Brett,
you definitely have the groove. I would LOVE to her Wipe Out from you and get us in Dirty Dancing mood!July 1, 2021 at 6:05 pm in reply to: Best LowG string setup for Steven’s aNueNue tenor ukulele AMM3? #47568
ukandreaParticipant@sgwarren
Thank you Steven, that helps a lot!!!
I will probably go with the pre-installation by the dealer with his available Fremont soloist squeakless and have D’Addario BEB031W folk nylon bronze wound string as fall-back option for self-installation which I could order locally at Amazon. It seems that only one music store in Germany carries aNueNue but has no stock before August.
But Matt from World of Ukes has it available. Do you have any experience with this shop? And final question: Does yours have a pick-up installed?
Thanks so much for your advice,
Andrea -
