ParticipantFun to watch Aldrine suffer like the rest of us mere mortals.
Evan is amazing. His arrangement of Danse Macabre on this site is on my someday list.

ParticipantI’d pay any price to play like Cory Fujimoto.

ParticipantThe last one I could hear was 10khz. That’s not so good.
I might have to get a service chihuahua for those higher frequencies.

ParticipantOne thing to keep in mind is that, as I understand it, the fluorocarbon low G’s have a wider diameter which might mean that you’ll need to file or sand the nut slot to widen it. I don’t have any first hand experience with low G fluorocarbons; I’ve only read about them, so It’s not impossible that I’m wrong.
Metal wound low Gs are about the same diameter as a high G string. I use a Fremont low G string which fits nicely into the high G slot. That way I can easily interchange the low and high G whenever I want.
Most of the arrangements here on Rockclass are written for high G ukes. Nevertheless, it’s usually pretty easy to change a few melody notes to let the arrangements work on a low G uke anyway.

ParticipantFor the last week or 2 I’ve become addicted to his videos. Here’s his video page:
https://www.youtube.com/user/mahua7714/videosHe seems to play so effortlessly. It would be great if Andrew could get him to do questions and answers (no pressure). I’ll sure be dissapointed if it turns out that Feng E is a robot (jk).

ParticipantYou also might want to make sure the string action is as low as possible.
I have a similar problem right now. This past summer I completely lost the use of my left hand for a few weeks due to some serious non-uke related nerve damage. I got my hand and hand strength back but it’s still sore and will be that way for a while yet. My doctor loves the idea of using the uke as physical therapy.
I just bought a tenor which I’m finding to be a bit more challenging than my soprano. But I love tenors.
