I’d second ukandoit’s suggestion of the Nirvana version of “Where did you sleep last night?”
I’ll also just put this here. It’s probably not hugely well known (the show or the song), but both are amazing x

I haven’t had much practice time this month. I was hoping to get White Christmas done too but I’ve run out of time and even Greensleeves isn’t as clean as I’d like – I’m still hearing unwanted string noise in the video that I haven’t had time to address. That being said, I’ve really enjoyed learning it. I remember it fondly from my childhood – as a folk tune rather than a Christmas song.
I’ve donated to the Ukulele Kids Club, it’s a wonderful charity and I’m excited to hear what we’ve managed to raise for them between us.
Happy Holidays to everyone π I wish you all a happy, healthy and musical New Year! x

I hadn’t noticed the pull-off type string noise until you mentioned it but I hear it now! I’ll start trying to pay more attention to that and practicing muting.November 27, 2019 at 12:47 pm #33900ripleyParticipantβI am a premium memberβ!
I’ve really enjoyed listening to all the submissions so far π Super-impressive work everybody!
Here’s my “Can’t Help…” submission. It isn’t spotless but I feel pretty good about it, especially as it’s the first song I’ve been able to play from (my goldfish-like) memory.
If you can hear a weird noise in the background that’s just my cat trying to destroy my bed π- This reply was modified 4 years, 5 months ago by Andrew. Reason: PM Added
November 9, 2019 at 7:03 am #33498ripleyParticipantTalking of waltzes, here’s another, less cheerful, but very awesome song that I’d love to learn: Elliott Smith’s Waltz No.2.
November 7, 2019 at 11:49 am #33467ripleyParticipantPossibly an excuse to buy another uke with a cutout π
It’s a squash that high up for me too and I have fairly small hands. I can do it but it’s more of an effort to get a clean sound. I’m going to try out that partial barre…

Great job on Danse Macabre @jinajupiter – it’s so fast! Cool costume too πOctober 27, 2019 at 12:54 pm #33006ripleyParticipantHi @fred21 π
Welcome to the forums! I thought your submission sounded great, especially the second half where you seemed to hit your stride. Many of us feel we mess up once the recording starts and are our own worst critics but I think if you heard someone else play like that you’d be pretty impressed!October 27, 2019 at 12:47 pm #33005 -
