lisamccParticipantI agree – it’s beautifully broken down then built up and is satisfyingly achievable. Bluegrass wasn’t really my thing – but it’s going to be now!!!
lisamccParticipantThat’s fabulous! Well done!

lisamccParticipantCongrats Gianluca! Enjoy the new addition to the family! Look forward to hearing it. Buon natale! Xxx
lisamccParticipantAnother awesome year Andrew thank you. Next year – I would LOVE some more flamenco technique type stuff, there is very very little out there for the uke. (unless someone can enlighten me!) Taimaine’s playing style would be awesome: she was very influential in getting me into the uke and I only found your site because I looked up Habanera after seeing her play it.
Thank you for all the inspiration. Have a great festive season, with a well deserved rest and have a fabulous new year!

lisamccParticipantand another little one – without the solo (as I don’t have backing) but with a little air trumpet in there…. and yes I know it’s fast – I just can’t stop myself!!!
I have also donated to the ukulele kids club – $40
Happy times folks

lisamccParticipantThanks for the positive feedback Stephen! I tend to race a bit (particularly when I’m recording… it’s like I go into fast forward!) I’ll try and bring it down a notch.
Thanks for your encouraging words @Rickeymike and @Robinboyd.. really appreciated.
Good luck with the next challenge… getting in the Christmas spirit already!
lisamccParticipantI would love to know how to do this too!

Hey everyone – here it is. My parents really liked the animals, so this was probably the first rock album that I was allowed to put on the record player!
I’ve enjoyed rocking out to it this month.
🙂
lisamccParticipantFabulous playing and singing! Well done!

lisamccParticipantThanks Andrew. One of my problems was that I did loads of drills and have been playing without music for ages – then when I went back to practice using the tabplayer, realised that I had distorted a couple of barres here and there – actually the easiest sections. I then tried to change those bits at the last moment, but was struggling against muscle memory – which made my performance a bit like a ransom note! Not my best – but I wanted to record where I was up to. Looking back at the recording, my ring finger is going bonkers – I had no idea. I’ll sort that thank you! My biggest problem was all those barre chords on the top frets on a concert uke – they were really really hard to get clear. My fingers aren’t huge but up there they feel giant! Thanks for your feedback – very helpful.

Sorry, this is not great…I kept having memory lapses amongst other things! Frantic month. Next month hopefully will be better. Happy Halloween all.
lisamccParticipantAn excuse for another uke! My main uke is my concert high G, and I bought a £70 Ortega tenor and put a low G on it, just as a backup so I could play those particular arrangements. I didn’t think I would play it as much. However..it sounded amazing when I changed the strings to living water strings. I actually play both a lot, depending on the arrangement and love both. Definitely worth buying a second instrument.
lisamccParticipantDefinitely people are strange!
lisamccParticipantLovely to see you Kay! 🙂
