lyndallkParticipantThanks Andrew. I know what you mean – I sort of get lost there – I even confused myself. Thanks again for all the great arrangements and lessons. And for creating this wonderful community.

lyndallkParticipantVery fun version Sara. You’re such an early adopter in the monthly challenges. Have to agree it’s been a great uke year!
Robin – reminds me too soft serve chocolate!

lyndallkParticipantOh Lisa. Those are big feelings. Maybe you can disassociate the tunes from Xmas and play the beautiful tunes that they are.
I’m not a big fan of Xmas songs (not as much as you). But I’m going to do “White Christmas.” Written by Irving Berlin (a wonderful Jewish musician) played in Sydney where we dream of a Xmas without bush fires and played by a Jewish ukulele player (yours truely)

lyndallkParticipantJust for the fun of it, I’m posting playing “Can’t help falling in love” at our local uke club. We play upstairs in a cute little pub on last Monday of the month. Last Monday. Hope you like it

lyndallkParticipantNice one Robin. I think I know where you are. Good to see it’s not on fire. Nearly all the bush up here in NSW is on fire. Lovely rendition of CHFIL.

lyndallkParticipantThanks @Jinajupiter. Had a little listen to the covers that you mentioned. Such a good song, and so many versions. Really liked your post, Natalie, and may well incorporate that little bend into mine. I’m thinking of playing it this month at uke club. PS it is my partner’s favourite song!

lyndallkParticipant@planetfink Well I could watch it, also from Australia, and loved it. Yes so much emotion and really well played. Thanks

lyndallkParticipantThanks everyone for your thoughts. I do like playing those arpeggios I have to say. So I’ve done a second recording, taking the lead from Lisa. (Yes, I did notice more dynamics! A nice post, Lisa)
This time with more attention on pace (slowing down) and hopefully more feeling!! Thanks Andrew for the suggestion. I must say it was hard to not speed up during the performance. But I think I sort of pulled it off. Anyway, it was much more satisfying to play either way!

lyndallkParticipantHi Andrew Thanks for the feedback. I don’t know that I chose to speed it up . I think I maybe practiced too much and it became faster. I will slow it down again.

lyndallkParticipantI missed that too Rickey!! May have made the effort if I’d noticed!! 😁
Thanks for the feedback Stephen (many pages ago). I’ll take on working more on dynamics.
I’ve really liked listening to everyone’s postings.
lyndallkParticipant@nerdjenni Well I made it with someone who knew what he was doing – it was a workshop with a teacher and all his tools and equipment and expertise, and all the materials. It needed a lot of all that.
