lyndallkParticipantThanks for the link. I see that I combined the harmonies into my own melody. Sort of.
lyndallkParticipantHi Andrew. More Taimane songs please.
lyndallkParticipantI’m really looking forward to hearing what you work out. Such a great song. And yes really hard anyway.

lyndallkParticipantWell thanks Robin. I’d be a little careful about taking notes on my timing – its not my strong point! Look forward to hearing your rendition. Hey, how are you going with election fever? It’s all on the weekend!!!!!

lyndallkParticipantHi everyone.

Here is my May submission – “Because.” Very challenging to fit the singing and play the uke with the right timing! Thanks for the excellent arrangement! I’m trying very hard not to apologise for my singing – so consider this either an apology or not as you chose to take it!
I did this in the kitchen because we have constant building noise outside our flat these days, and its the quietest room. It seemed to help a little with the tone of the uke that is usually so bad with my iphone mic when in the lounge room. It may be my new recording studio. With a cup of tea so handy! Hope you like my ukulele shopping list black board.
Anyway, I had to sing it how I remembered it (which may be a little made up) from 1969 when I bought The Beatles White Album the day it came into the record shop. And then I had the portrait head shots of each of the Beatles on my bedroom wall for many years thereafter….

lyndallkParticipantThanks Andrew for the fabulous video feedback. Timing is absolutely one of my challenges. I tend to make everything a little simpler than it should be . I’ll try the transcribe app. I’m excited to improve this part of my playing. Thanks for your generous words too.

lyndallkParticipant@deadbuggy. I really liked your version of a thousand years Sarah! You get such a lot done in a short time! The dynamics are great. I didn’t know that tune but you’ve inspired me.

lyndallkParticipant@deadbuggy Gotta love that little uke. Great playing too.
lyndallkParticipant@miztaken How’s it going with the new Uke? Are you going to play something for us?
lyndallkParticipantThanks for your comments! It was fun and nerve racking! I’ve done a few others, but that’s the one I made the fewest mistakes in and have a recording of. I try and do something each month I’m in town for club night, and have played at a few open mics. Generally I don’t do solos
Thanks again for listening

lyndallkParticipantHi Andrew
I’m working on “In my life” and for some reason I’m having real trouble with the timing of bar 33. I can count it out, but can’t seem to hear it when moving from 32 to 33. Any tips? I’ve listened to you play, but its fast so I can’t quite catch it.
Thanks
Lyndall
lyndallkParticipantLooking forward to seeing it with your new strap and hearing you play it. I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to bring it into Oz, Miztaken!
A little jealous!
lyndallkParticipantyes a great arrangement and so well played.
