lyndallkParticipantFantastic. Thanks fir the performance.
lyndallkParticipantHiya @doddyk. I’m also in Sydney! And a long time student with RC101. There’s nothing better to do when stuck at home than these classes and learn uke. Enjoy.

lyndallkParticipantThanks again Andrew for the lovely Etude (I’m doing 26 here). It is lovely. It needs more work, but this is what I can do for this month, and pleased to put something in.
I’m enjoying everyone’s submissions so far and looking forward to more

lyndallkParticipantHere’s my next recording of Sleepwalk at a slower pace. It was surprisingly difficult until I could really feel the pace! I believe I’ve had that slow down feedback before.
PS I’m glad my memorising was a teaching moment!

lyndallkParticipantThanks Andrew. I’m going to have another go at recording it – might try to channel Nathalie for timing!

Here’s my original Sleepwalk from October last year and my retake from today. To make it different I added bunch of slides to be reminiscent of the original slide guitar and chorus to the uke sound to make it like its from the 1960s! That was fun.
Oh and I learned it off by heart this time:

Now:
lyndallkParticipantWow. This is a beautiful piece. We’ll done. Lovely.

lyndallkParticipantThanks Stephen for your generous words. Yes Robin and I did talk about a click track for next time. Robin generously tried to slow down because at the start of the month it felt like he was going at break neck speed for my poor fingers and brain.
I over compensated a few times with the “rubato feel” I must say. It was great fun to give it a good go. Its so different to playing live with another person.

lyndallkParticipantThanks for posting @Robinboyd and stitching it together. It was fun and challenging. There is a whole new world of learning when you film and then stitch videos together.
Nice one @kirpuff – so many and varied talents
lyndallkParticipantWelcome Ashley. This is a great start to baritone lessons, and what a beautiful voice. I look forward to more …
