miztakenParticipantThat is so beautiful!!!
Thank you very much for recording this – this is why I love the ukulele so much, and why I love Andrew’s lessons.March 15, 2019 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2019 Member Challenge – Irish Songs! #25786
miztakenParticipant@becky7777 that last note was just gorgeous!
I forgive myself for anything when I get a perfect harmonic 😀
Any your tiny tenor sounds so good, even with a dodgy recording, I am looking forward to hearing V2.March 13, 2019 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2019 Member Challenge – Irish Songs! #25747
miztakenParticipantMy husband thinks your playing that tune must be genetic.
Lovely work, and awesome speed! aka “Damn, that was good”
miztakenParticipant@alouisa … we just need stronger glasses 😀
I have more issues seeing the side dot markers on my uke because they are below my multifocals 😀 😀 😀
miztakenParticipantHi David, welcome to this awesome group.
I think you may need a Fender style uke to rock on!
Iggy Pop goes well on the uke, and just about anything can be done with the right plug-ins.March 11, 2019 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Live Lessons are BACK! March 2019 Live Stream Topic: Master Chord Transitions #25694
miztakenParticipantI can watch the lesson, it is only at 10am – that is awesome!!!!
Good thing I was doing my random daily plus check of what is going on in the forums and saw your update…
reminder alarm is set, air con is on (HOT day here), shall warm my brain up on my eucalele, and I am excitedMarch 8, 2019 at 3:52 am in reply to: Live Lessons are BACK! March 2019 Live Stream Topic: Master Chord Transitions #25636
miztakenParticipantOh Lord! I had to think hard to realise that you weren’t DOING bar chords with your thumb…. 😀
I think I am tired.Your thumb should only be stabilising the neck not actually putting pressure on it because this is where your pain is coming from.
The pressure should only be downward from the barring finger/fingers, not upward from the thumb (and sometimes I get it right!!!).
Simple…. NOT.Oh, and I have found that if I drop my thumb to the BOTTOM third of the neck curve (more behind strings 1 and 2) and bring my hand forward and around the neck a bit more, I get better pressure from my barring finger (… sometimes… 😀 ).

miztakenParticipantThank you Andrew!
I am always impressed by your dedication to us (your students), and to your business – your enthusiasm, tweaks and improvements to the RC101 site, your teaching techniques, your ideas for classes, everything.
I won’t be up at 4am – one of the cons of choosing a teacher around the other side of the world, but with everything you do provide for me – watching the re-run 24 hours later is no hardship.
I chose you because of what your lessons can offer me at any time of the day.
Currently in Aus, a local teacher would only make me a very dissatisfied uke student.Thank you for another wonderful idea, and learning opportunity.

miztakenParticipant@alanadair – becky7777 has just ordered one of those too!
They look and sound just lovely.March 5, 2019 at 5:17 am in reply to: Live Lessons are BACK! March 2019 Live Stream Topic: Master Chord Transitions #25587

I will be able to go at my own pace – that is a win for me 😀March 1, 2019 at 5:19 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2019 Member Challenge – Irish Songs! #25477
miztakenParticipantJust saw a bit of Danny Boy… and realised that I cannot do that one.
I sing in the key of “X?” and my ukuleles just don’t do that.
;D 🙂 🙂 🙂March 1, 2019 at 2:02 am in reply to: Participate in the March 2019 Member Challenge – Irish Songs! #25458
miztakenParticipantBecky, Becky, Becky… crash and burn WITH ME!
I want to try Irish Washerwoman on my banjolele… that will be so loud and lots of fun.
I don’t expect any decent speed, but I shall get such joy out of using my banjolele for a change.
miztakenParticipant…Andrew’s fingers…
;D
