I like the way you played this, almost has a Hall of the mountain king vibe at parts. Inspired me to play around with it, very cool!Edit: …didn’t have time to learn harmonics but at least I got through the song finally without stopping
This is my new favorite performance! I’m inspired to relearn this one now! I just love how it’s played with such delicacy and precision.
One of the stranger things to ever happen to me occurred just this morning! When I awoke, there was this beyond tacky orange shirt on my nightstand. On it, a note that simply read, “try this – Dustin”
I put on the shirt and suddenly I was able to actually get through this song. Thanks Dustin whoever you are and whatever time you come from…

You’re telling me, James! Hit the record button and I lose all feel and touch, inconsistent sound, missing notes…couldn’t even remember the first chord change which I’ve never once forgot while practicing.
You play very crisp and your rhythm is so consistent during the circle thingy. Well done!
I’m sure if you and I keep at it one day… before we die we’ll be able to play while recording…haha.

I reckon when you get higher up on the neck is when you really start to tell the difference between my uke that retails for $60 USD and one that lists for two extra zeros 😉
Snazzy arrangement of JP! I did the same thing as you, I started with explorer and then switch to JP because I couldn’t get my fingers to move from the bottom strings to the top in that circle pattern. After learning JP I thought I’d give explorer one more chance and after several hours it finally clicked. Just take it slow and don’t give up! I’d love to hear it even if it’s after the deadline.
Thank you Andrew! You are 100% correct, in theme two I was playing 4-0-2 not 4-2-0 & 430 not 540. I’m too embarrassed to tell you how many hours I spent on themes 1 & 3 (song’s above my skill level) so it’s hilarious that I messed up on the “easier” theme 2.
I honestly would have played this wrong for the rest of my life which would have been a bummer considering the time investment. This really underscores how invaluable the interactive nature of this site is for students.
