AndrewKeymaster@gmflin8 – well done, Grace! Friendly reminder, don’t forget to tune up before recording. So the one area I’d work on is to not pull down on the C string in the strumming section. We always want the strings to remain parallel, so that the note doesn’t turn sharp. In a previous feedback video this month, I talked about that for another member. So you may want to check that out if you want some extra tips 🙂
@kirpuff – Glad you dig the goodies, Sara! Performance was great! My only suggestion is to throw in a few staccato hits in that first melody section. I think it sounds cool to have a melodic blend of sustain and staccato. Keep up the great work!January 15, 2021 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Participate in the January 2021 Member Challenge – Theme: Levels (Beg/Int/Adv) #43858
AndrewKeymaster@juleshere – Beautifully played! Only thing I’d suggest is to work on the transition from the strumming back into fingerpicking. See if you can get it a little faster, so there’s no gap in the timing. And TY for the kind words, much appreciated!
AndrewKeymasterWell done! Here are my thoughts 🙂

AndrewKeymaster@ukandrea – Here is my feedback for you 🙂
@katazumiri – Bravo! Great timing and clarity in each note/chord. And I love the 3 part arrangement, very creative!
@cashmpe – Well done, Patrick! I’ve got no critiques – you aced it!
AndrewKeymasterI set you up with 3 months of premium, Linda. Have fun! 🙂
AndrewKeymasterWelcome, Lucas! For low G, I’d recommend picking up a second uke. It’s always best to have one of each.
Check out this percussion lesson. It’s a cool way to add a drum-like beat to rhythm playing.
Discovering new artists and their music is a great way to find inspiration. Matt did a live lesson recently on 5 uke artists you should know.

AndrewKeymasterGlad you dig it, Dirk 🙂
AndrewKeymasterYes and no. It’s dependent on what you’re playing. Moving around, generally yes for form 2.
But if you are doing anything intricate out of a stationary position, e.g. playing hammer-ons or pull-offs out of a singular chord shape (across more than 1 string), then form 2 will be best. But if you’re just strumming that singular chord, yes form 1 could be best.
AndrewKeymasterLot’s of YouTuber’s use a Ring Light. That might be best for you!
I wouldn’t recommend moving or breaking down the 3 point set up. Very difficult.
AndrewKeymasterLet me know if this video answers it – I get asked for help with this song a lot and have a lot of private videos, but I can’t recall what I talked about in all of them lol.
AndrewKeymasterCheck out this video for a more in-depth look at it. But the strum pattern follows the golden rule: strum down on a down beat and up on an up beat. Meaning:
Down for beats 1, 2, 3, 4
Up for the &’s
AndrewKeymasterBeautiful vocal and chord melody! Well done, Rickey 🙂
AndrewKeymasterWelcome, Joel! Glad to have you on-board. If you ever need help on the lessons, don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
