ParticipantExcited to try Soaring Lead on my electric uke, though not as yet as smooth as I would have liked on the most difficult part.
I did not find anyone doing the this piece. So I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Here’s my November entry. Can’t help not to sing along to this childhood favorite song.
Just incorporated the instrumental parts within the piece.

Given up learning Triplet strum with Into the North. Had to learn it this time and really liking how it felt and sounded after mastering the technique.
Here’s my take on St. Anne’s reel.

ParticipantHere is my take on Uke Blues No. 2.
Chord changes on some parts are not yet as smooth as I would have liked it. But its the last day today.
Looking forward to October’s challenge-

ParticipantPlease don’t add this to the monthly entry draw. Already had my first video entry posted earlier.
I just want to share this, recording again of Rainbow connection this time on an electric ukulele. I loved the overall effect of the longer sustain compared to my acoustic uke.

ParticipantHeard this a lot watching tv during as a kid, so the tune is quite special to me.
Chose an easier song this time with Rainbow connection. I decided focus on the little things to making a song more alive with the suggestions on sustain and accents.
Thanks again for this sweet arrangement.

Participantaloooy – Sounds great! Great tone and timing. Watch out for that little fret buzz as you get higher on the neck. I struggle with that myself, so once you get up high, keep some focus on making sure your fingers play right in the middle of the frets!
Really do appreciate this feedback AJ. Tried to play this on my concert uke and the frets up the neck are quite small and challenging. However, I like that you don’t have to stretch as much as playing on my tenor. 🙂

ParticipantCan you kindly teach this piano classic?

ParticipantLoved the Entertainer after hearing it played on the piano when I was young. Glad to be able to play it now on my uke.

Sorry for the double post. Had a bit of trouble embedding my video.
Tried an extra challenge for this month with Malagueña believing Andrew saying its not that difficult 🙂
Well, it was indeed playable but really challenging if you want to play it with the correct tempo.
Here’s my version playing as fast as I possibly can. Still needs a bit more polishing. But hey, the month is over, we have a new challenge coming up tomorrow. 🙂 Looking forward to June!

First post and first entry!
Tried Day-o with the tapping. I have a bit of a challenge on sections where I have to tap while plucking is a bit of a challenge and I could not get a very good tapping sound.
