Hi everyone, I went for the syncopated speed picking. First try for me with a pick. I’m still struggling a bit with the 16th notes at this pace, but I like the technique. 😊

Matts performance of Misirlou blew me away, so I had to try this piece. Tough but amazing technique, I’m not yet where I want to be, but that’s how far I came within this month. 😀
Sorry, no nice backdrop this time, I think Germany is already in autumn mode. 😉@karenj Awesome, I love it! And you seem to enjoy it so much. 🙂 I always stumble when I try to smile while playing. 😀 I also go for Misirlou, I will record in a few days.
Thanks for this lesson, Matt! It made me feel much better because I’m one of these people that only hear that something is not right, but then I’m lost. I will now more often try to figure it out without the tabs. I’m also not a good singer though I tried. I had 2 years of lessons but I think I will retry one day.

I tried the Rhythmic Blues. I had much fun learning the song but I’m still too slow. But I could record at my favorite lake. 🙂
@Stephen, thanks a lot for your kind words! 🙂 And yes, I always struggle with the speed. It seems to take me months to get the songs down at the same pace. But I continue trying. 🙂
