bibileleParticipantJune is very busy and this was anyway the last chance to record in these beautiful surroundings. 🙂 But still a lot to practice on this song. No entry for me please.

bibileleParticipantHi everyone,
I’m really proud that I did “Let it be”. 🙂 Never did a level 4 before. Okay, I admit that I only did the easier part. The whole song will be ready in a few months. 😀 At the moment I’m anyway in the Out of competition section (please no entry for me) so I felt free to play a shorter version. Hope you enjoy.April 27, 2022 at 6:11 am in reply to: Participate in the April 2022 Member Challenge – WIN $6,000 Kanile’a Ukulele #51680
bibileleParticipantLove this Minuet though it was unusually hard for me to memorize it. You can still hear a few hesitations.
The prize is bombastic, wow! Still I’d rather not get an entry cause I fear the taxes. LOL

bibileleParticipant@Andrew Thank you very much for the feedback! I appreciate it very much! I will do the exercises you suggested for Theme 1. Regarding the other topic, I anyway think of testing (and buying) a baritone ukulele. Birthday is coming. 😉 I wonder if I will manage the stretches, but I’m looking forward to trying this song on a baritone.

bibileleParticipantHi everyone, here is my attempt at the beautiful Explorer. I have an issue with my middle finger of the left hand in Theme 2 and 3. It tends to touch the e string and makes the string buzz. I think shorter nails would help so that I can put the finger steeper on the strings but if I cut them shorter it hurts. I have the sort of fingers where the nails are longer than the flesh. Hope you understand what I mean. Any suggestions what I can do?

bibileleParticipantI think now my husband understands why I need different ukues. 😉 Bar 3 worked quite well with the soprano. So here is “Wouldn’t it be nice”.

bibileleParticipant@ldarrow Thank you so much! Yes, sometimes you just have to go for it. I love your submission of “Dream a little dream of me”. And I feel similar about the barre chords. I can play a song with barre chords only a couple of times, then my left hand needs to relax. But the day will come when the barre chords and I will be best friends … 😉

bibileleParticipant@Stephen Thanks a lot for your kind words! 🙂 Yeah, my hardest struggle was with the split stroke. And also the chords don’t love me too much. 😀

bibileleParticipantHi folks, I’m happy to start the second year of challenges with you. 🙂 In December I said that in future I will choose the more difficult songs. Well, I almost regretted it. LOL But I’m happy I finally managed to get it down (okay, not perfect and not as fast as Christopher but I’m still proud). So here it is: Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue.

bibileleParticipant@Andrew Thanks a lot, I’m totally flattered. 🙂 My next goal is to participate each month in 2022 and to choose the intermediate pieces over the beginner pieces. 🙂

Of course it had to be Rudolph. Love this tune. 🙂 I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
I donated 25 USD. Thank you for the idea.
And thank you for the monthly challenges. I started a year ago with this community and my goal was to participate each month in 2021. Well, this is my 12th submission, and I learned so much in the process. So guess what’s my goal for 2022. 🙂November 23, 2021 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Participate in the November 2021 Member Challenge – WIN $2,100 Kanile’a #49347 -
