lhamiltonParticipantHi,
This month I tried St. James Infirmary —

lhamiltonParticipantI use Tab Play-along in Safari on my iPad.
I set the Tab Play Along settings so that it doesn’t show the chord fingering since that takes up a lot of the screen.
Then I set the setting beside the percentage to audio only so the video doesn’t show (that takes up screen space too).
Then I move my cursor to the spot in the tab where the part I want to practice and click on the circling arrows (the 3rd icon from the left) and select the part I want to practice. I also set the speed I want to work using the percentage icon.
Then to have the tab take up the full screen, I click on the squarish icon fourth from the left and press play.
lhamiltonParticipantI like the idea of the mini lessons.
I’ve found though that, unless there is some music to try newly learned techniques out on, I tend to learn and then forget them. So, I’m hoping that they could have links to some of the pieces on the site that use or could use the technique, or that later pieces might use the techniques and point to the mini lessons.

lhamiltonParticipantThanks, @Angelo! I could have gotten the piece up to 90% speed, but was just too nervous to do it safely when recording myself. The uke is a Fluke concert with low-G tuning. I’m really fond of it.
Linda
lhamiltonParticipantWow! Definitely exciting. Pictures expected 🙂

lhamiltonParticipantThanks Andrew! I’ll try that — it had been bothering me that my pulloffs were rather short. I was a bit nervous, so it got even worse.

lhamiltonParticipantHi,
I worked on Blue Moon this month. I made a few small changes — adding a whistling section.

lhamiltonParticipantWow! Thanks, Andrew! I was terribly nervous recording. My son tells me to relax too (he’s a guitar player). He keeps stressing the need for “jelly fingers” 🙂
