    Hello everybody,

this month I went with DRUNKEN SAILOR and it was so much fun to practice. As usual my recording doesn’t come close to how I thought I would play the song. Level 2 was out of my possibilities though I tried to learn it and practiced quite a bit. So I skipped this in my performance.
    Have a great time everybody.

I saw you playing two different Rebel models and they sounded very different. I am not sure but was your second submission played on concert with matte finish? It sounded much deeper than the one in submission one which looked very similar to my Rebel tenor.

and I am very happy to upload my take on HARMONIZING CHORDS.

Hello Andrew and team, hello members,

the first part of the video shows my playing at 75%, then I play at 100% (just wait 2 secs).
I take the rest of the month to practice another piece – hopefully one you choose for next months challenge. Until now I participated every month in 2023 what makes me absolutely proud. I hope I can continue.

    Have a great time everybody

    Hi Andrew, hi RC members,

I think you all know what’s coming… “My playing was so much better when I didn’t record.” But this month I think I understood that it is really necessary to start recording very early in order to see errors much more clearly. Good, for this realization it is too late today. The exercise was definitely a lot of fun for me and I realized that I really like to do strumming. Thank you very much Andrew and have a nice weekend for all of you

    Hi Andrew, hi members,

finally I’ve finished my take on ÉTUDE no. 1.
I practiced everything at a low tempo until I got it under my fingers.
But as always… this was before recording. Nevertheless – I don’t feel as uncomfortable as I did one or two years ago. So I think that things develop slowly but surely.

    Have a great weekend

I hoped that you or Andrew would say that the squeezing is the ukes’ fault. 😉
Thank you for your kind feedback,
I’m looking forward to the rest of your course but the april challenge will take a lot of my time I guess. Have a great time.

Hello Andrew, hello Steven, hello RC members,

I just finished my take on SWAN LAKE. I love this melody so much that it was for sure that I wanted to play this and in a way I’m satisfied with the result but of course I would like to play it better.

Could you please give me a hint how I can improve playing the notes on higher frets? They squeeze more than I wanted them to.

Thank you Andrew and Steven for this wonderful course.
    Have a great weekend everybody.

Bes, I like the way you play and even more the way you smile while playing…. GREAT.
I can’t give you no advice as you play better than me…

    Hello Uke players,

since I couldn’t spend that much time on the bluegrass piece this month, so it has become etude no. 3.
Despite several attempts to deliver a flawless recording, I can now only present this chopped version. Andrew, what can I do to play this piece smoothly and fluently?
Thanks for having a beginner-friendly piece to choose from.
    Best wishes

I tried to learn this song last year just before New Year’s Eve… but that was a too little late (for me). And now the same this year. So it was fun to hear and see you playing this song. Perhaps I can improve so that I will play it next year. All the best to you…

I just donated 20 Dollars to the Ukulele Club.

    Hello Andrew, hello RC101 members,

yesterday I finished my video on God Rest Ye… and I had a really hard time with it beacause I had to memorize the song as I have to watch my hand moves all the time. As soon as I look to my notes I will lose track. But memorizing is really difficult for me. In the end I set up the speed zo 70% and I know that there was one big mistake… that was the moment when I forgot what to play next.
So, if you could give me some advice on how to practice playing with looking at my notes at the same time would help me a lot.

Have a wonderful christmas time everybody.

Andrew, I thank you and all of your team for another year with beautiful songs and teaching.

    Hello Andrew, hello RockClass members,

at first I tried to learn „Great Fairy Fountain“ which I really love a lot but I didn‘t have enough time this month, so I had to change to „Song of storms“ which was more convient to me as it is a Level 1 melody.
I must say that it was a real pleasure for me to play to a backing track again. It now was the second time ever and I know that I still have to improve, but for me – I was happy with my result.
Andrew, I really want to thank you for your kind feedback on last months „Haunted uke“. I didn‘t expect your feedback to be so positive… so thank you very much.
Looking forward to the december challenge and hope that I can join again

… and I‘m very happy that I can share my HAUNTED UKE video. I am sure that my playing is better if the camera doesn‘t point at me but this is a good challenge for me. The other challenge was playing with a backing track as this means that I have to play in time. It was very helpful that you, Andrew chose a melody with a slow tempo. So, thank you very much, Andrew and congrats to all October participants who struggle like me… WE‘VE MADE IT…
