I answered your questions but it looks like my post got caught in the spam filters when I tried to add videos. I’ll let Andrew deal with it when he wakes up. Good luck.
Hi Macdog. I’m practicing this too and I’ll try to help.
1) Don’t worry about the pull-off. It is entirely optional.
2) That’s a hammer on, so you play E and G and then hammer on to G# on the E string.
3) That’s a slide
4) That’s a slide to a pull off. That one’s a bit tricky.
I’ll see if I can upload videos of 2, 3, and 4 for you.
@rebeca – that actually sounds really good with the high g.
Hi @nicolaaa – This may be a stupid question, but are you clear on the difference between low G and high G? If not, have a look at this video.
@schaap123 – That was great!
I’m also attempting the performance version. I’ll be interested to see how you go with it. I’m finding it surprisingly challenging. Are you trying the Tobias’ right hand technique?
@miztaken – thanks for asking the question. I was confused too.
Hi Cloud Cactus. My wife has one. I don’t like to play it, partly because it is so hard to hold. There is no particular trick to it, but it gets easier with practice.
Are you trying to hold it while standing up or balancing it on your knee? Have you tried a strap?
Nice to see you again @planetfink
@eyka321 – I’m so jealous. You are great! It took me years to get to that level.
@mr_moltes – I imagine it would be fixable to some extent. It wouldn’t be perfect, but you could at least get it stabilised, which would most likely help with the resonance. I have no idea how much it would cost, though. It would depend on where you lived (Iceland? New Zealand? Spain? I don’t know…) and what the shops in your area decide to charge.
