Hello everyone!
After maaaany takes and many days of trying to get it perfectly, I was starting to feel frustrated as my iPhone video storage was getting fuller and fuller, and I decided to end my attempts and just relax. So here is the best of the bad takes. Not fully happy with it, especially unwanted string sounds and my tempo (in my defense, the extra weight of my furry friend at the top of the neck was challenging lol)… but if I look at my first year at Rockclass101, I’m happy with my progress and I enjoy learning from you guys so much. Thanks Andrew and all of your crew for this wonderful year (except Evan…I have a love and hate relationship with you…haha just kidding you are awesome). See you next year! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Andrew, in the end I decided to “switch” from left hand form 2 to form 1 at 00:19 seconds…couldn’t get to play the high G chord (5-7-7-0) with form 2 🙁

Hi Andrew,
One of my biggest problems every time is choosing (or transitioning) between left hand form 1 and 2. For example, in St. Anne’s Reel, for some reason the first 3 bars I’m feeling more comfortable playing with left hand form “1” (big U shape, as shown in your lesson on that subject) and then bars 4-5-6 I’m more comfortable playing with left hand form “2”. I don’t have too much trouble transitioning from form 1 to form 2, but when I get to the end of bar 6 and going up the neck again, i’m really struggling to transition from form 2 to form 1 without holding my ukulele with my last fingers of my right hand, or otherwise the neck of my uke “drops” and the flow of my playing stops and feels clumsy. I tried “fixing” this problem with staying in form 2 all the time but i’m struggling with that too when I go up the neck (for example for the high G chord 5-7-7-0). I hope I’m clear, but in the end the main problem in my playing is transitioning smoothly from left hand form 2 to form 1. Any tips?

I never tried to write my own song as I’m a beginner and not very inspired right now unfortunately, but hearing all your original songs makes me want to try harder! So maybe the next original song challenge will be my time to shine ;). In the meantime, here is my take at Wonder Part 2. Cheers!
