Recorded two takes this month. This is the one that had least mistakes. Ran out of time to get it much smoother. Had so much fun learning this and Habanera for June. Thanks all.

Got a lot going on atm so practice been difficult to stick with consistently, bit this is one of the first guitar songs I feel in love with. And this is a first ever one take submissionf from me! Room for improvement but happy enough with it. Best thing: the blackbirds are tweeting in the background here in sunny Wales 😍 🐦 🖤

@nthibode Caspar Babypants is awesome 😎 used to love a bit of Presidents of the USA back in the day. So cool the chord charts available on the site. I’m going to accept I’ll get nervous and make mistakes I think.
@surferjay this advice really helps. I used to busk and I’m ok worh people passing by but a bit overwhelmed with a fixed audience. Will be taking on the music theory advice as know its limiting me not pushing my knowledge. I think watching others perform too helps. Have really enjoyed watching some of your YouTube live performance recordings…they are so strong.
@annefgodfrey it’s a perfect place to post about that performance. Sounds really beautiful and would love to hear @rickeymike playing his We’ll Meet Again take in memory of your husband. Sending best wishes to you for the third year since his passing@puppylovesuke you’re kidding, right? I was waiting for a hilarious mess, but it was beautiful. I really loved this performance. I think Brian would like it too, he’s a kind, inclusive musician!

Impossible for me to pass by a Beach Boys challenge (mega fan 😅) but do want to press on with the strumming course and Crossing Hemispheres to push me out of the comfort zone. So here’s an earlyish WIBN. Great arrangement, much appreciated.

I often pick a song off the back of how someone else played it here…Blue Moon for example. I heard someone on here play and was like “it sounds like a totally different song to me now. I *must* learn it”. Really is this site’s big advantage…hearing the range of interpretations 😎

Last Christmas
Obvious that I’ve got some of it down a lot better than the rest, in part because I’ve been laid low by the virus of the moment 🙄 Really wanted to get my current state of play in so that this month was not a total write off! So much fun and looking forward to getting it down more.

Started practising a bit late this month. Struggling with the first horns section atm. Where am I going wrong…or is it just a case of more listen and practice?

Dedicating this one to my best friend who left this plane a few Octobers ago. He absolutely loved an American Werewolf in London and reckon he’d love this arrangement. I’ll keep working on the flubs and hesitations, but as ever really enjoying the learning ride here. Great playing everyone.
