Wanted to sneak one more upload in! For this one I went with fingerpicking etude #13. I struggled with changing between the two picking patterns and the pull off. And when it came to recording it, I found that when I didn’t have the onscreen tabs to play along with, i tend to speed up too much!
Also, I wanted to bow out of the entries for this month’s drawing, as I already own a Kala Bamboo uke and would like to see it go to someone else 🙂@jedart I can totally relate to playing better with the camera off! Keep up the good work!

Went with fingerpicking etude #5 because I just loved the sound so much! I can’t quite get it to sound right, I think it’s probably just speed, or the whole 3 finger picking issues, but It’s fun and beautiful to play regardless! Also, I happen to own a tenor of the Kala bamboo uke being given away! So I figured I would use it so possibly any potential winner could hear it in action before getting it! 🙂

I started to learned a couple songs for this month, but found most to be a bit out of my league, so I went with Aura Lee for my submission, and I tried to add a little of my own take on it… ish… lol. Oh also, broke out the uke with the pick up for this months theme!Thank you @andrew for the feedback! Means a tons to me, truly does, so thank you again 🙂

Normally I practice all month and then post towards the end. But I happen to be practicing Yesterday while at the park when the May challenge was announced. So I thought, what the heck, ill record how Im doing with the song now, and see if i can make progress through the month and post again at the end! Song is a bit out of my league, but I just had to learn it! So beautiful!
I don’t think it’s the location I have it. I have three other ukuleles hanging on the wall in the same room, and I’ve never had any issues with any of them. Also, the uke in question is by far my newest uke. I got it only a couple months ago. That’s why I was thinking maybe the glue simply wasn’t applied well enough or something like that.
Yeah maybe I will reach out. It looks like the glue just let go, but I’m not sure if there is a deeper issue or not. I assume not, but I also assume it wouldn’t cost too much to have the bridge reattached right? Not sure if it’s worth bugging uke republic over. Unfortunately the luthier I have used in the past closed shop about 6 months ago. So I’ll have to look around for a new place. But there must be someone near me.
