    Etude #3 has such a great sound, and it is really fun to play! I added some length to the piece as the lesson recommended and I hope you like it. Ziggy joined me for this month’s entry. I have my eyes on Etude #6, but really not sure I could learn it by the end of the month! lol

    @deadbuggy

    I went with “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen” this month, and it was a challenge as always! lol But, really fun to learn and play!
    Everyone’s performances have been great so far and I look forward to seeing @The_Bumble_Bard updated video because the early version was already really good!

    @Andrew
    I donated $50 to Ukulele Kids Club, thank you for the inspiration to do so!

    I am a big Zelda fan, so this month was really cool to hear everyone playing all these tunes! I went with The Great Fairy Fountain, wanted to do more this month (Zelda’s Lullaby) but this song took a lot of time!
    I couldn’t quite get the tempo how i wanted it in the third melody

    @Tim0721 Thank you! I think you performed excellently!

    @The_Bumble_Bard
    Thank you! 🙂

    Thank you! I hesitated in sharing the story actually, but I am glad I did. I actually originally had the whole story written on in the chat, and I deleted it and shortened it. I didn’t want to go on and on, but it was just such a crazy series of events that I felt compelled to share it. We are doing a special trip to the Veterans Cemetery this Wednesday, for a ceremony for Tony. Also, you must have posted your video while I was submitting mine and I didn’t get a chance to comment on your fantastic performance! Well done!

    @Andrew
    as for another coincidence, early in the month as a personal long term goal, I decided I wanted to be one of the featured players in a rockclass101 video! And was I super surprised to see myself doing the stranger things theme! I was so excited! So I wanted to share that as well lol. Thank you!

    @debb1985 You played that beautifully! And fittingly haunting! 🙂

    @dermango
    Well done!

    @The_Bumble_Bard
    You did a wonderful job on Lacrimosa! Bravo! Sadly Ziggy didn’t join me for the final performance, however I do plan to upload in the “showcase your playing” area of the forums a take i got of me playing the song through with Ziggy on my shoulders! lol, so if your interested, keep an eye out for that!
    I was going to perform this song for a resident who I have worked with for years. In fact he has seen the very beginning of me learning ukulele. He loved classical music, and on the day I brought my low g into work to perform Lacrimosa for him, I learned that he passed away, unexpectedly, the night before. Kinda blew me away. He was the one that taught me Lacrimosa means “tears”. Some of his belongings were donated to my department; recreation, and on top of a stack of VHS’s, in a giant crate, was Lacrimosa. So I just wanted to dedicated this to Tony, and my Grandfather, both lovers of classical music, and especially Mozart. And I wish I could play this for them

    Have you every considered something from Tool? Not sure if it would work, but maybe like Lateralus or something? I would love to learn anything from Tool

    I am continuing to try and improve Lacrimosa, but couldn’t help but learn the Stranger Things theme after seeing all the awesome performances from @everyone! And people weren’t lying about the difficulty of the right hand! I really struggled (and continue to struggle lol) with that!

    @The_Bumble_Bard
    yes… i do indeed have 4 cats! lol. The area I am in has a lot of strays unfortunately, and I have multiple times found litters of kittens abandoned. 2 of which were so young I had to do the whole bottle-feeding thing and all that! Their eyes were still sealed! Those 2 kittens were actually found by my dog in small, wooded area behind my house. I’m more of a dog person really, buuuut you tend to get attached when you bottle feed them. Most I find homes for, but 4 have remained lol 🙂
    Finally, @Andrew I have taken your advice into consideration as I have continued to practice, so thank you! I for sure struggle with pulled down on the strings during certain cord positions, and I struggle with my pull offs lacking finesse. I am trying to concentrate on not pulling off as aggressively. Luckily, I think Stranger Things was a great exercise in working on the pull off!

    @rebeca
    and @shmu88 really well done!

    Decided to not risk it this month and post early on! Think I will continue to practice this one and possibly post it again towards the end of the month to see how much I can improve it. Grandfather introduced me to Mozart, so I thought about him a lot while practicing and really wish he could see me preform this!

    @The_Bumble_Bard hahaha! I love it! Amadeus was one of the very first movies I ever saw as a child! My grandfather was a giant Mozart fan, so he is my favorite as well 🙂 seen the movie more times than I can count!

    And I know for sure there have been rockclass101 lessons that have said you should practice while distracted, so…. Doesn’t get more distracting than a cat climbing on your shoulders lol
