lisadmhParticipantReminder, live lesson in 30! See you there.
lisadmhParticipantHi Nikola. It’s a great excuse to get a second ukulele and string one to low g. A lot of us have done that. It’s a great sound and it’s fun to switch it up.
lisadmhParticipantMay the 4th be with you. Good job on the song. Love it!

lisadmhParticipantHey Andrew, question about Ain’t no Sunshine.
For the constantly repeated Dm, bottom three strings only, you mute the G string with your thumb. My thumb doesn’t move in that way. I’m trying to just avoid the g string, which mostly works. But would you recommend fretting the whole Dm in case you clip the g string occasionally? Or is that cheating? It does mess up the fingering for the subsequent bit.

lisadmhParticipantAmazing Brett! You’ve got such a good groove.
I think I’ll try Ain’t No Sunshine. It’s a frightening Level 3 and requires me to learn how to play to a backing track, but it’s the song I’m feeling.
lisadmhParticipantLove it, Taylor! Thanks for sharing. Super fun. 🙂
lisadmhParticipant“Karma Police” by Radiohead please!
lisadmhParticipantHi there. I’m in Canada too. Not so fond of hockey though. 😂😂😂 Welcome to the group!

lisadmhParticipantThanks Stephen. I know I’m having some rhythm challenges on it. I can’t seem to follow a backing track though. I’ll keep trying!

lisadmhParticipantrfritz, I did the open g. It breaks up the fingerpicking pattern a bit but better sustain.

lisadmhParticipantI’m a premium member.
Here’s my take on Day-O. The mechanics were easy but the rhythm was hard. I’m trying! I just don’t have that laid back rhythm to me.

lisadmhParticipantThe mini fest a week ago had a segment on it about sanitizing a ukulele. It’s at about 4h20m into this video.
lisadmhParticipantWelcome, Steve! You’ve found a good community. If day jump into the monthly challenge. That really brings people together. Have fun checking the place out!
