    Fun suggestions guys.

I’d like to formally request Star Trek, The Next Generation version. I’m having more fun than I could have imagined with star wars and star trek is the only logical next step.

    Live long and prosper.

Welcome Stacey! I signed up here at about two weeks in as well. It was a great way to start. I can’t wait to hear your take on Jurassic Park. Don’t be shy. Post what you’ve got by the end of the month. Even if it’s not where you want it yet, we’ll cheer you on! Have fun and see ya around.

I’m alsoworking on Star Wars, but here’s Jurassic Park.

It’s the first time I’ve done a song all thumb, so that’s progress. I tried to work on being relaxed and flowy, with limited success I think. Of course, it always sounds so much smoother in my head than it does on the recording. I blame the recording device, lol.

Seriously though, I’d love to be able to smooth things out and sound cleaner…

    Thanks Andrew, I’ll try that.

Star Trek next? TNG please. I’m loving this. 😀😀😀

Star wars help please. Any thoughts on replacing the slide in bar 19? Or fixing it? It doesn’t sound out well acoustically and it’s bugging me. The down works but not the up. Hammer on doesn’t help and just plucking the last of the three notes is too overpowering.

    Thanks!

The action is on my top do list too but I’m scared. The music store says it’s finebut I think it could be a little lower on all my ukes. Good job for making it work!

Both of mine are about a year and a half old and worked fine before. I’ll keep trying.

Mine’s been really buggy lately. It mostly works, with patience, on my tablet but no longer works on my phone. It used to work fine on both and I’ve changed nothing. I use chrome. Android tablet and phone.

I have a question on this. She’s saying the soprano is too high for her voice, but the capo will just make it higher, and changing the key will change the sound but nothing will really bring it down because you can’t go lower than the open C (unless low G).

So does one sing the whole thing one octave down from the uke, in the same key? I hear some good singing with the uke by people with low voices. A matter of octaves?

Keep in mind I can’t sing Happy Birthday in tune. Still, I’m curious.

    Thanks!

Deadbuggy, fun take! Lol, an Irish jig to the start wars theme. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but it’s true. I love it.

Another question! What do you do when you’re playing a nice 4/4 quarter note song with the metronome and it has a rit somewhere in the middle? Or that weird shaped thing that draws out one note. It messes me up.

Etude 17. Metronome is really helpful until I get to bar 47, then it all falls apart.

    Thanks!

I gotta say, I groaned a little at the song choices as I’m not the show tunes type, but Star Wars is ridiculously fun.

This is more fun than I’ve had in ages, and there has been no shortage of fun lately.

Thanks for getting me out of my box!

Wow Rickey! You’ve been working hard behind the scenes. Congrats on your very own chord melody. Sounds great. And such a nice gesture for Anne and Tom. She’ll love it.
