Hi everyone!
This month I went for the “Cascading Blues” Mini-Lesson. In my recording I tried speeding it up the second time I played it, but especially towards the last measures I struggled a bit, so that still need a little practice.

I absolutely love the music of the Nutcracker, so I was very happy to see that you guys actually made two Ukulele arrangements from the ballet. It wasn’t easy to decide which of the two songs I’d learn first haha, but in the end I went for the mini-medley!
I also wanted to say a big thank you for all the great lessons and all the work you put into this website, I’ve really learned so much in the past months, and I can’t wait to see what 2023 is going to bring 🙂

The Zelda game I grew up with was “Spirit Tracks” for the Nintendo DS – a friend of mine showed that game to me and it immediately excited my curiosity. Then we’d spend afternoons together playing that game and helping each other out when we were stuck 😀 So learning “Zelda’s Lullaby” this month brought back a lot of great memories, and I might even dust off my old Nintendo DS and give the game another try!

@Andrew Thank you so much for your feedback and also the video link! It’s strange how – at least for me – playing triplets slowly is so much more difficult than playing them a bit faster, so I’ll definitely work on them with the tab player 🙂

This month I went for the Campanella Fingerpicking Etude – what a beautiful tune, especially for this season. I really enjoyed learning it! When I was recording it, it started raining outside which just went perfectly with the spooky yet also calming and cozy vibe of this etude.

Hi everyone!
Bodysurfing was a song I’ve wanted to learn since I first listened to it a couple of years ago – but I was very intimidated by the melody and the speed, thus I always shrunk back. But when I read that it was one of the songs for this month’s challenge, I saw this as the perfect occasion to finally tackle this song. I went for the Ukulele 2 part and am still trying to get to 75% speed, but I am struggling with some parts, especially in the solo part. So here is my recording in 50% speed:

Just recently I came to realise that for me, this year’s July challenge marks one year of participating in the RC101 challenges! I have learned so many new things throughout the past year and have picked up so much – so a big thank you to you Andrew and the other teachers for all the amazing arrangements, great teaching and fun songs 🙂
