ParticipantHi,
What is the ebony upgrade?
Can you easy change the strings on your ukulele from a high g to a low g or a low g to a high g?
What is the process of making a well seasoned wood?
What do you need to keep in mind when caring for your ukulele in dry weather and in humid weather?
Does the direction of the wood grain affect the sound of the ukulele? Thanks.

ParticipantHey Andrew,
Thought I uploaded by video the other but I guess I didn’t. Here’s my entry a few days late. I playing Sponge Bob Square Pants, I’ve played this before in a previous challenge. I’m traveling and didn’t have enough room to bring my ukulele. I’m borrowing a tenor in this video. Having a little trouble reaching notes with my pinky.

ParticipantPosting several days late. I’m working on Battle Hymn of the Republic which still needs quite a bit of work. I’m working on smoother transitions and better movement up and down the neck.

ParticipantHi Everybody,
I’m having a crazy busy March and didn’t have much time to pick of the uke this month, so I decided to learn Chopsticks instead of my initial thought of learning The Irish Washerwoman. Still need some work on moving up and down the neck smoothly and the harmonic.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

ParticipantHi Everybody,
I decided to learn the Blues Shuffle for the February challenge. There a quite a few mistakes and slow transitions in the video… definitely need another month to work on this song.

ParticipantHi,
Here’s my final submission for the January Challenge. I see some improvements from my first video from December to my latest video but there are still areas that I need to work on. Jingle Bell Rock has been quite a challenge to play.
I’ve been enjoying everyone’s videos and seeing everyone’s improvements! Way to go!

ParticipantHi,
I’ll be working Jingle Bell from December’s challenge. I would like to work on smoothing out my transitions, work on my pinky hammer ons and working up to playing the song at 75% of full speed. This month has be fairly busy for me so I’m not sure how much playing time I will get in. I plan practicing when taking a break from work. I will work on my trouble areas by playing just those sections by themselves and playing on along with the tab play along.
Here is a full video of where I was at the end of December.

ParticipantHi Everyone,
Sorry I missed the November challenge. Didn’t get as much practice time for the December challenge as I would have liked. There are several transitions I’m still working on smoothing out. Still have trouble moving up and down the neck smoothly. Here is my video of this month’s challenge. I will also be donating $5 to The Ukulele Kids Club. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holidays. Happy New Year!

ParticipantHi Everyone,
I’ve been traveling so haven’t had much time for practicing and some of my transitions need a little work. I’m a fan of Stranger Things (although I haven’t gotten around to watching the new episodes yet) so here is my video for Stranger Things. I’m playing my new ukulele (yay!) courtesy for Andrew of Rock Class 101 and Mike of UKE Republic. Thanks!
