With the Holiday approaching and my family arriving tomorrow, I feel I just ran out of time to get this arrangement of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” down. (One of my favorites, BTW). I’m hoping to play this for Christmas this year, so I might get a chance to post a better recording.
I’m having trouble getting the notes to ring out, sounds like I’m playing with mittens on.

I am far from ready to share my playing, but I’ll be traveling this week and I wanted to get into this months challenge. I recorded myself practicing, first time trying this on my concert uke.

Here is my best take, so far, of the Stranger Things theme. A couple pull offs didn’t sound out, and I lost my place once, but I wanted to get uploaded this weekend. I can play the motif faster, but I had to slow down for the variations.

Here is my take on Fingerpicking Etude no. 13. I play much better without a camera 😉
Best takeaway for me from this exercise, “look at the fret you are moving to”. Sometimes the simplest advice makes the biggest difference.

This was a lot tougher for me than I thought it would be. Here it is, warts and all, my entry into the December challenge with Carol of the Bells.
My entry into Rockclass101 October 2020 challenge. If you remember from the spring, I had so much trouble with the triplet strum that threaten to change my name to “I suck at at triplets”, so of course I choose the Triple Strum Etude as the piece to work on. I tried concentrating on the right hand fingering. I think if I get this, it’ll help with the regular triplet strum too.
I wanted to get this entry into May’s challenge even though I’m not ready to perform this piece. Honestly, I thought this would be easy, but it kicked my butt. It doesn’t help that the only low G I have access to is an 8 string.

Thank you @Stephen, I’ll work on the timing while keeping it slow until I have the strum motion down. I do have a metronome app that has lots of features for customized rhythms. It’s called Impulse (iOS), I highly recommend it for beginners. I’ll post an update if I can get a recording that shows improvement.

I think my timing is getting better. I used a pick in this video, what do you think sounds better? There seems to be pros and cons to using the pick.
