    I am a premium member.

I’ve been working on the Deck the Halls arrangement since it came out. I love the arrangement, but like many members, I made a few tweaks to make it my own. Just a few key melody notes are tweaked to make it something I enjoy playing.

It’s also my first song to feature my new uke, with amplification for the first time. Interesting experience, that is.

Hmm. The string is pretty close when I fret the third fret. Maybe a little higher on the E string though, and that is my hardest string to fret.

Of course, we’re on lockdown so I can’t get it checked. 😞 I’ll check it out at a shop maybe when we’re back in business. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Welcome, Chris. Wow, congrats on building such a great group and sharing the joy of the uke.

Lagrima is not easy, but it sure is pretty.

See ya around. Check out the monthly challenge. We have fun together there.

Hi krolik. I have no answers, but I have the same problem. I think it’s a combination of more stretch and more strength needed?

I’m with Robin. I don’t have electronics. I must admit, I’d be tempted to give it a try, but I’m not going to spend a fortune and do all kinds of homework on recording to record just for posting here. Clip on tuners are fine. A cutaway would be fun.

    Ortegas area pretty. Good luck.

I AM A DEDICATED PREMIUM MEMBER.

I did Haunted Uke, because I like the very different sound, but I have no use for duets since I play alone. So, I turned it into a chord melody by listening to the piano part and looking at the chords on the uke sheet. It’s not exactly the piano piece, but I think it holds together. I feel like I did something musical here. 🙂 It’s very new for me to be able to mess with things rather than just learn exactly what’s taught.

I’m sharing the version with the backing track (because I have to!!), but I’m more excited about sharing the solo version. And, in case anyone wants to know, I’ve attached the tabs to my chord melody version.

    Thanks for another cool challenge!

    And we’re off again!

    @Andrew
, for Haunted Uke, what if I harmonize it myself and work as much as I can of the piano part into the uke? Do I still need the backing track?

The site’s low G songs should sound right, don’t they? Maybe focus on those?

Than you oldan! It’s fun messingaround with the tunes a bit. It was simple, but it’s a new skill I’m learning. Glad you liked it!

    I’m a PREMIUM member.

Tricky technique. I struggle to make it clean. In think I’m doing the fingering right though.

I added a little piece, because I can. I used to not be able to do anything that wasn’t tabbed out and taught, so it’s cool to be able to do tiny things of my own.

3 and a half years ago I think. I had just gotten my first uke about 2 weeks earlier and knew nothing at all. I started with My First Song and loved it. I was hooked. Joined as premium right away. I’m entirely RC101 trained.
