HI!
What a treat to see Tobias Elof joining the team. I’ve seen him perform on The Ukelele Review site playing this number as well.
I did practice as much as I could although you may not really deduce that from the result 😉 … so here’s my attempt playing “Erindring / Out in the North”.

I’ve been practicing this Hawaiian song. The tripelet part was initially tricky, but I hope I did an okay job at it. I liked doing the Day-O song and actually found time to practice that one as well, but I had to pick one and picked Loki Lani :-).
Wishing everone who’s participating in this challenge good luck as well!!

joannetalaMemberThank you for your kind words, Stephen. Appreciate it that you take the time to listen and help us improve on our technique. You’re right, it sounds a bit rushed and I will work on timing. I have been playing more often with the metronome, but obviously need more practice. Thanks for your advice!

joannetalaMemberHere’s my entry playing “Waltz in C” using my Luna concert ukulele with low G.
Nice opportunity to play this ukelele, since my favorite one is my Lanikai with high G.
Hope it sounds okay.I’M A PREMIUM MEMBER

I’ve learned so much in the past year and decided to extend my premium membership. Hopefully, I’m able to put in more practice time and learn even more.
I also love this community of ukelele players and have learned from them as well (by way of the questions they’ve asked).
Thank you, Andrew, your team and fellow ukelele players.
Wishing you all continued success and Happy Holidays! Here’s my attempt of White Christmas:

joannetalaMemberThank you for your comment, @becky7777! 🙏🏽 I have to say I like the sound of the high note as well. Initially not done on purpose, but since I liked the sound of it. I kept it in.😄

For the most part of the month, I was traveling abroad and tried to practice as often as I could. Yes, I did bring my ukelele with me :-). I hope this rendition is acceptable. Although I love to play my Lanikai concert ukelele, I really would love to win myself a proper Kanile’a ukelele ;-). In any case, love playing the ukelele ever since I’ve joined Rock class 101. I learned so much already. Thanks!!

Here’s my submission for the October 2019 Challenge
I did try to practice more but needed to submit it prior to my upcoming trip, because I won’t be back before the end of the month.
Prior to the recording, I’m doing alright but the minute I start recording I really have to focus on not making mistakes. Hope it doesn’t sound too bad.😊July 3, 2019 at 5:22 pm in reply to: Participate in the June 2019 Member Challenge – LAST Chance to WIN a Kanile’a! #28652
joannetalaMemberThanks for your feedback, Andrew! I did watch the video (course) about rhythm and practiced. Thank you for noticing 🙂 Sorry for the late response … busy with work and travel lately.

joannetalaMemberI consider myself a beginner but thought that I should try to play “Aloha ‘Oe”. Especially since I’ve recently learned about my ethnic background … that I’m 30% Polynesian :-). Not a perfect performance, but hope it’s acceptable 😉

Had to mention that first, before I forget (did last month ;-)). Fortunately, I was reminded.
Anyway, here’s my entry for this month. I still need to practice at it and hopefully will get the chance to submit a better rendition. Just need to get it in right before I go on a trip.Love to play this song (When I’m 64) and did my best on it.
April 26, 2019 at 7:37 am in reply to: Participate in the April 2019 Member Challenge – WIN a Kanile’a Tenor Uke! #26808
joannetalaMemberHi Andrew,
I totally forgot to mention, when I entered my ‘challenge video’ thatI’M A PREMIUM MEMBER.
Also wanted to mention that I’ve learned so much more since I became a premium member. I’ve been watching many YouTube teaching videos in the past but noticed more improvement over a shorter period with the method that you’re teaching and I love the feature of playing along at my own pace. Slowing it down works up to like 60%, which for me at the start of learning a new song is still too fast. However, it seems to work better to repeat a section at like that speed or a little higher instead of slower (if that make any sense). Playing my uke nowadays is so much fun. Thanks for all you do!
joannetalaMemberWow! You’re very talented. Beautiful uplifting song. I’m actually going to visit my relatives in Holland in a couple of weeks. Hoping the weather will b nice :-). Groeten uit New Jersey!

joannetalaMemberHere’s my attempt to “Dream a little dream of me”. I’m a beginner, but practice every day (even if it is for only little time I have). Still make mistakes, but love playing my uke :-). I also love using the features offered for Premium Members and make use of it.
