june2020MemberHi Andrew – is there a way to get notifications prior to the actual live stream for each of the monthly live sessions? I put it on my calendar, but I never seem to be able to attend the live session because I forget to tune in on time. It’d be great if we could get a reminder with a link.

june2020MemberAura Lee for this month’s challenge. I really concentrated on the timing of the notes for this one. Hopefully, I got it right this time.

In the Hall of the Mountain King for this month. Wish I’d had more time to work on it. Those high frets are sure tough to get good sound!

Had fun learning this one – Yellow Submarine. Another great arrangement by Matt Dahlberg!

june2020MemberI picked Jurassic Park for this month. I really, really enjoyed learning this one. Another great arrangement by Matt Dahlberg. I also utilized the interactive tab so that I could get the correct timing for this piece. I used a loop for the Melody C part so that I could get the speed up (I found that part to be most challenging) and then match that tempo to the rest of the song. It really helped a lot!

june2020MemberHere is my entry for this month – Dream a Little Dream of Me. I had fun learning this one. Matt’s arrangements are so nice to play. I recorded several days in a row and could really see progress in the speed increase each day.

I’m playing Rudolph for the December challenge. I had fun learning this one. I’m getting more comfortable at multi-finger picking thanks to Matt’s tutorials. Have a great Holiday season!

This one was quite challenging to get a clean playthrough. I still struggle with the fingering in Bar 3 (and the like). Can’t seem to get the bar chord so I had to improvise with inefficient fingering. I will continue to try to get it the way it was taught in the tutorial.
Again, I apologize for the noisy birds in the background, they help to cover over my mistakes 🙂

Here is Moon River for the October challenge. I hope you can hear me over the birds in the background. They were quite vocal today. I guess they like the song! This is one of my favorite tunes, also.

june2020MemberThank you for that info about Baritone vs. Low G. I did not know that you could just follow the tabs. Now, I’m anxious to go back to other Baritone lessons that I passed up on.

june2020MemberI thought this was going to be much easier than it turned out to be. I struggle with those high frets, no matter how much I practiced. I so wanted to take the easy route and just get out the soprano so I could skip that part! But here it is. Far from perfect but this forum is really helping me to grow.
