katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
Here is my “I Have a Little Dreidel”
In the first repeat, as a chord/melody, as Andrew showed. The change of chords is not quite working yet … There is still work to be done.
In the second repeat as a trio 🙂P.S. I made a donation of $30 to UKC 🙂

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
When I went to school, the first computer appeared in our house. In fact, it was a constructor for radio amateurs, which was connected to a tube TV, and programs were loaded from a cassette recorder. We had three games: Tetris, Xonix and Python 🙂 This constructor had black and white pseudo-graphics, there was no separate sound card (CPU pin INTE was used as a sound source). In short, the capabilities of this thing were very limited. Later there were other computers, but I did not have an interest in computer games.
I really liked that this time also piano sheet music for accompaniment were shown.
So, here is my attempt with “Song of Storms”.Have a nice day!

katazumiriParticipantThank you @Andrew 🙂
I totally agree with you that it makes sense to learn by heart.
At the same time, I feel me like a squirrel from the “ice Age”, which was chasing an acorn.I know musicians who are good at reading music. Unfortunately, it’s not me.
I know musicians who memorize the harmonic structure of a piece well, they play a little differently every time, not like it is written in the notes, and yet what they play sounds good. Unfortunately, it’s not me.
Most students of music schools cope with learning by heart “the way it should be” … I am doing my best. It doesn’t always work out. It’s funny. If I get to play with those who are good at reading music, they suggest not to bother with memorization and clearly follow what is written.
And with those who feel harmony well, it’s also not boring, they sometimes change harmony and think that it is obvious to everyone 🙂October 21, 2022 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2022 Member Challenge – WIN $6,000 Kanile’a #54216
katazumiriParticipantAlso, I wanted to add a bass part. This time I allowed myself to play along with Steven. And here’s what I got.
Have a nice day!

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
Two years ago, Mungo Jerry’s You Tube channel posted a video titled “In The Summertime – Mungo’s Boot Power Band Live Stream Version”.
I would like to be a part of this event 🙂Here is my attempt with “In the Summertime” by Mungo Jerry
Have a nice day!

katazumiriParticipant@ Andrew I’m not sure, but it seems to me that Rosewerther wants to learn “Summertime Blues” by Eddie Cochran, she wrote “I’m fairly new to playing”. Mark1256 played “In the Summertime” by Mungo Jerry, this is for intermediate.
In “Summertime Blues” by Eddie Cochran we do not have the 5555 (F6).

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
So sweet! “In The Hall Of The Mountain King” as a miniature in 20 bars. And even as a duo 🙂
Only thing I miss is outro. I added 8 bars.
Here is the result:Have a nice day!

katazumiriParticipantSo… Three weeks have passed and here is what I’ve managed to do in that time.
Intro + Theme1 + Outro, still below 50%. I think I managed to be slower than Chopin’s “Funeral march”…
With backing track I’m “almost” in time, but I don’t hit all the notes.
Without backing track, I hit “almost” all the notes, but definitely not in time.In other words: there is still a lot to do 🙂
Have a nice day!

Thank you, @andrew!
I couldn’t get past Minuet. It’s not long, not too complicated. There were sheet music and TAB for both ukulele and U-bass. And Stephen didn’t “disappear” from the video like it was in “Moondance”. I had problems with “Moondance”: not everything was clear by ear and not everything was visible, and for the U-bass, unfortunately, there were no sheet music at all…
It was convenient to work on the Minuet.
Thanks again, also to Stephen 🙂-

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
Just like gi_gi, I’m waiting for someone to show “A fifth of Beethoven”… I really hope that I’ll get at least Theme 1 at 50% speed.
Meanwhile, in order not to get too upset if “A fifth of Beethoven” fails, I took up the Minuet 🙂
And this is what I got:Have a nice day!
