ParticipantHi,
Here is my entry for March, The Theme song from Jurrassic Park. It was an awesome arrangement. I want to get to know this well enough to play it with some feeling because right now it’s a little stiff. I’ll get there and as usual any advice is very welcome.

ParticipantHere is my Entry of Dream a Little Dream of Me. I really like this song so I put my high G back on. I have worked on this quite a bit but I’m still pretty slow on some transitions.

ParticipantHi Andrew, I really like the songs, Dream a Little Dream of me and St James Infirmary. Can either of these be played with a Low G.
Thanks,

This is my December submission of, Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Arranged by Matt Dahlberg.
I had to change the tabs a little so I could use my low G. I cannot seem to play this all the way through without making mistakes. Again this is the best of about 300 takes. Do you have any advice regarding stage/recording fright?
Good luck everyone, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year too!

ParticipantAndrew, Thank you so much for the great feedback. I’ll definitely work on my left hand positioning. I also took the advice you gave to another person about keeping the left hand in the same position when changing notes in the 3rd, 7th and 15th measure. That helped a lot. I didn’t think about holding the bar on the second fret from the end of the first triplet through the rest of the measure. I watched the lesson but I must have missed that. I can’t wait to see what the December challenge will be.

I chose Etude in E Minor (in A Minor) for my November submission. I love this song, I can actually feel it. Unfortunately, I can’t play what I feel without making mistakes. I’ll keep on working on it and look forward to any tips.

ParticipantHi Andrew, I watched the video you posted showing Taimane which led me to a song she plays called Wicked Game. Its a duet with a guitar. Do you think you might ever do a lesson with that ukulele part?
Just curious, thanks

ParticipantThank you Angelo,
I looked at the lesson you mentioned and it helps. I’ll keep working on it.October 26, 2021 at 6:26 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2021 Member Challenge – WIN $2,100 Kanile’a #48884lynnzo
ParticipantHi, I have a low G so I changed the tabs from an open 4th string to the 3rd fret on the second string. It’s a little cluncky, for some reason I get nervous when I record myself.
