marianneParticipantHere’s Adelita. I tried a million takes to the point where my neck was sore… everytime something or the other would buzz or ring funny… perfection in tone and expression will only come with time and experience but I won’t give up. Until then, here’s the best take so far. Section B is beautiful but really tough 🙂
Thanks @Steven for these beautiful arrangements!

marianneParticipantHappy new year all!
Here is my rendition of the (beautiful) Fingerpicking Etude No.6:
I am happy with it in the sense that it’s been a busy month for me so I only had 2 days to learn it and an extra day to practice it in total! Sorry for the couple rougher spots.
I also had to adapt it to work on my baritone with a lower G, so I changed a couple spots where possible in terms of fingering/strings to hit.
@Andrew, I found it also easier to place the first finger under the second finger for the first chord of measures 3 and 7 following that by a slide of the first finger down by half for the second chord (rather than that painful bar). Hope that’s ok!December 17, 2022 at 3:38 pm in reply to: Participate in the December 2022 Member Challenge – WIN $6,000 Kanile’a #55150
marianneParticipantHappy Holidays to all of you!
Here’s God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen! Looked easier than I thought.
Happy 2023!
marianneParticipantHi all!
I would like to suggest ‘Evocacion, by Jose Luis Merlin’. A beautiful classical piece that could sound wonderful on the baritone 🙂-

marianneParticipantHere is my submission of Misirlou!
Tremolo is a super tough technique and this is definitely advanced for me but had to take the challenge!! Hope I didn’t butcher it too much 🙂 sorry about the little hiccup at the very end…

marianneParticipant@Andrew, what about for Misirlou or body surfing? Could you play on low G?
